Rebel’s Top 20 from 2013 to 2019

In 2020 so many things changed. Not only did the world around us changed into a roller-coaster because of Covid19, but the blogging community I thought I belonged to became such a negative space, that I decided to retreat to preserve my own mental health.

Because of this, during November 2020, I worked through Every. Single. Post. on this website, deciding what to keep and what to redirect. There were just over 3000 posts when I started, and about 2750 when I was done. But once I was done, I still had one more job, and that was giving my Top 20 posts a new home. You see, because of the changed blogging landscape, I no longer wanted those posts on the front end of my blog, but I also didn’t want to loose them.

The solution? A page…

Below you find the Top 20 posts I have done from 2013 to 2019, and as from 2020 I will not be doing these posts anymore. In the lists below you will only find links to blogs that are still active AND which I still support.

Want to know which blogs I recommend? Just look at my sidebar under the heading ‘Marie’s Marvels’ and follow the links from there.

Now, without further ado:

Rebel’s Top 20 of ’13

A Curious Muse
This blog is full of words from a wonderful woman whom I have had the privilege of meeting in 2013. She is a special friend, a very dear one, but that’s not the (only) reason she’s on this list. Her words, whether in a poem or in a story are stunning. If you appreciate well-written erotica and poems, this is a site you have to visit.

A Sexual Being

Beck and her Kinks
Whenever looking at Beck’s site, it is obviously that she is working very hard to make it a success. Beck also ran Sultry Saturday, but due to her starting college some time ago and less participants for the meme, she had to stop it. Keep an eye out though, it might return and remember, it’s another way of promoting your own website.

Cammies on the floor
This is a blog written by two sisters – one married and one single. Their posts are hot, no matter which one of the two has written the post. This is one of the blogs that I have seen moving to self-hosting during 2013. Follow these sisters!

Clive’s Journey into Kink
I have a soft spot for Clive. He took us on his journey into kink and I just love it when he shows off his pink panties! Just go look at his photos. He has such a beautiful body! But it’s not only photo’s that Clive is sharing. You can also read about some of his sexual adventures.

Curvaceous Dee
Dee… what can I say? Dee is wonderful. Dee has a smile that never fails to put a smile on my own face. Dee is a beautiful person; open and spontaneous and she shares her photos and sexual experiences with the same enthusiasm that can be seen in each of her images.

Dragon’s Kink
Kazi of Dragon’s Kink is someone I admire immensely for her scavenger hunt skills. I call her the scavenger hunt queen and she definitely is! Other than that she writes about her self-bondage, her piercings and she sometimes shares her adventures of online BDSM relationship.

Dumb Domme

John D. Stories
I started reading John’s site after I met him at Eroticon 2013 and I have not stopped reading after that. John has a nice, easy way with words and I like reading his stories. There are quite some stories on his site that you can download as eBooks.

Just a Girl
I have been following iHotness on Twitter for quite long and moved with her from her old to her new blog. She doesn’t blog every week, but when she blogs, her posts touch me. Sometimes they make me hot, sometimes I feel tears in my eyes when she shares some dark feelings and sometimes they just make me smile. Go read her!

Kink and Poly
Jade is the creator of the weekly meme, Kink of the week. But that is not all she is. She is a hot, sexy woman who posts photos and stories of her various adventures. This women lives a life that many other women might just want to live too. I just love the fun in so many of her posts. Her smile says it all!

Kink, etc.
This woman amazes me. Her background is sad, but it made her such a strong woman. She is wonderful both with bondage and making self portraits. I admire her for how drive and determined she is.

Kinky Mia
This is another woman I have a soft spot for. Mia has helped me so many times through the thoughtful comments she leaves on my posts. Sometimes she just gives me a different way of looking at things. And, she’s a Mistress too and even a Mistress with whom I would like to explore if I would like it to be dominated by a woman.

Molly’s Daily Kiss

Plumptious Pea
There are so many gems to be found on Pea’s blog. She is a wonderful poet. Her poems, whether serious, funny or sad are brilliant. I will keep on encouraging her to write, to get her work out there, to be confident about herself and her writing. And I would love to get another real-life hug from her!

Remittance Girl
I had the privilege to meet Remittance Girl at Eroticon 2013 and to attend the session she ran there. Just go and read her ‘About RG’ page and you will know that you are in for a special treat when you read her erotic fiction or any of her blogs on writing or other subjects.

Sex With Rose
This sexy Dutch amazon is a great photographer, a switch and at this moment works in Norway. She shares her sexy experiences and her photography. She’s also someone I am happy to have had the privilege to meet and to call a friend.

SilverDrop’s Toy Box

Stella Kiink
Another woman that writes beautiful, thoughtful posts, but also has erotic fiction on her site that will leave you drooling to read more. A friend encouraged her to write more and I am so glad he did!

Stranded in Toronto
This man has captured my attention with his words over and over again. His stories never fail to draw me in, to make me want to read more and more. Like Savannah… oh, Savannah. How I love that story! But that is only one and there are so many more on his site. You will not regret reading him. Promise!

Rebel’s Top 20 of ’14

A Dissolute life means
I have been reading Hyacinth’s blog for a couple of months now and love her open and honest writing style. There’s still a lot on her blog I want to read, and I suggest you do too.

A Sexual Being

A to sub Bee

Behind the Chintz Curtain
Her delicate photos, her beautiful and sexy writing, her clear and honest opinions… those are the things I keep on finding on Jane’s blog and which I have been enjoying for such a long time, and want to enjoy even more in future.

Cammies on the floor
From the moment I have found this blog I have been intrigued by the experiences these two sisters have. One is married, one is not, but both of them have wonderful sexual experiences. I love that sisters can be this open towards each other.

Curvaceous Dee
Ever since I first discovered Dee’s blog and saw her photos, I was amazed by it. Her smile – Dee’s wonderful smile – it draws me in every time and puts a smile on my face. Her photos are always full of fun and sexiness and her words tell more about all the sexy things she does. Dee is also the host of the exciting and sexy Scavenger hunt.

F Dot Leonora
I met this beautiful lady at Eroticon 2014 and started following her blog after that. She started a story when she first joined Wicked Wednesday and she’s still writing it. She’s creative and definitely has a way with words that appeals to me and many others.

Katie Laid Bare

Kink and Poly
I have been following Jade’s blog for years now and love how openly she writes about her relationship with W and Ad, the two men in her life. Her experiences are hot and sexy and reading about her life between her sexual experiences, make her a real person. Her sexy meme Kink of the week frequently prompts me to write about subjects I would otherwise not have written about.

Modesty Ablaze
This blog is filled with words and photos of sexy encounters, from sex with her husband and others to Modesty’s scavenger hunts. I hope to one day have the guts to show my face on my blog, just as Modesty does.

Molly’s Daily Kiss

Open for him
I have discovered this blog a couple of months ago and have read it with great pleasure ever since. The author is a submissive wife and she writes about her experiences and her sexual fantasies in a relaxed and ‘easy-to-read’ manner.

Penny’s Dirty Thoughts
The one thing that keeps on drawing me back to Penny’s blog is her photos. Each and every photo she puts on her blog is a piece of art. But it’s not only her photos that are good, as Penny’s writing, whether fact or fiction, is definitely worth reading too!

Remittance Girl
I have a soft spot for this author. Remittance Girl’s writing is just brilliant, whether fiction or fact or opinion pieces. If you want to be challenged, please go and read her words. One thing we all should remember about words, is this piece I quote from RG’s site:

Words are worlds. They carry a different message to each of us. And so the story I wrote is not the one you read. In reading it, the story becomes yours. Draped in all the things you brought with you when you stepped onto the page and began to read.

Sex Blog (of Sorts)
The author of this blog is Charlie Powell. She writes about things in and out of the bedroom and has posted a couple of beautiful and delicate photos for Sinful Sunday. Her posts are not all about sex, but deal with different facets of her life. I hope to read a lot more of her in 2015 and see more of her lovely photos.

Stella Kiink
I have been following Stella’s writing back when she was still blogging under the name Couth Pisces and I still enjoy her writing and her photos. Her blog is definitely worth a visit.

Stranded in Toronto
This sexy man – whom I had the privilege to meet at Eroticon 2014 and can’t wait to see again – has a way with words like no one else I know. He weaves sexiness and darkness together in hot stories. I’m a fan of Savannah and Fifi, but there’s not one story on Stranded’s site that’s not worth reading! Stranded is also the host of A Darker Flame, a meme where you mix erotic fiction with other genres in your writing.

The Lustful Literate
I have been reading this blog for more than a year now and sometime during 2014 Brigit Delaney ‘disappeared’ but I am delighted that she is back and writing her lovely stories again!

The Sin Doll
Like The Sin Doll says in her about me text – most of her erotic fiction is edgy and dark and that is exactly what I love about her stories. They are challenging and dark and very sexy! But, there’s photos too that you will very much enjoy, I am sure of that!

Understanding Flutterby
The author of this blog, Flip, writes in a way that touches me every time I read her posts. She writes about raw feelings, troubled thoughts and happy times. It’s clear that every word comes from her heart. She also posts photos and those are always sexy and tantalizing.

Rebel’s Top 20 of ’15

A Dissolute life means

Every thought and feeling I have is bared here and you will likely become frustrated with me as I go right when you really want me to go left. But I’m not an avatar. I’m just me.

I have now been reading Hy’s blog for about a year and a half and am still astonished by the honesty with which she shares her experiences. The “I’m just me” is something I say about myself a lot too, and this must be what has drawn me to Hy’s blog in the first place. She’s an amazing woman, who has gone through a lot in 2015, but have come out of it even stronger than she was before. Apart from her writing she posts the most lovely images of herself. Oh, and she’s also the host of Boobday.

Behind the Chintz Curtain

Behind the Chintz Curtain is all about what we’re reading and doing behind the drapes – chintz, striped or otherwise.

I had the privilege to finally meet Jane at Eroticon this year, but was sad when I didn’t get time to talk to her more. Her blog is one I have been following for quite some time. I love the images she posts: gentle, sexy, well-composed, beautiful! Her erotica… divine!
The EuphOff, a competition that Jane has hosted twice now, is “The #EuphOff is a celebration of truly terrible erotica – a collection of euphemistic smut that’ll burn your eyeballs and keep your hands well and truly out of your pants.” The EuphOff gives you some really terrible erotica, which seems like so much fun to write and which makes me think I should try it if Jane decides to run the EuphOff for the third time. Jane is also the host of Little Doves, the meme for women with small boobs.

Cammies on the floor

About M:

I’m finding myself to be an avid rope slut; fortunately for me, my husband now makes rope so there’s never a shortage.

About A:

My shape hasn’t changed, but I’ve begun to find the beauty in it… Hey, I’m in shape… the shape just happens to be round.

I might have said it in the past, but I will say it again: I love that two sisters can share something like a sex blog, where they both blog about their most intimate details. What a lovely bond it is that M and A have with each other. They post the most beautiful rope bondage images, but when I look at those images, I don’t know whether I am looking at M or A, as A mentioned in her bio that she’s a rope bunny. I love that they are both confident about who they are and what A says ‘the shape just happens to be round’ – we should all think like this. I would love to meet both these sisters!

F Dot Leonora

I am an erotica writer and editor, as a well as a native New Yorker with severe wanderlust…

Leonora must be one of the most encouraging, spontaneous and friendly people I have ever met in person. She’s always full of compliments and if you need it, she will l encourage you to continue with your writing, to engage in a meme or to submit something for an anthology. She’s dynamite this woman, and she writes lovely erotica, long ongoing stories with new twists and turns with every episode. On top of that, she lives in one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

Happy Come Lucky

Illicit Thoughts

This is where I come to let my sexy imagination run free…
Wanna play?
If sex isn’t your thing… best leave now
If sex is your thing… check out my other blog…

The third newcomer, Kat, is another blogger I got to know through Wicked Wednesday and I have frequently gone to her blog to play, to read her words, because like you know, sex definitely is my thing. This means I have also checked her other blog and read some of her words there, and am planning to read a lot more. Kat is a sweet and kind woman, always ready with a comforting word for everyone who needs it, even if she is in need of those same words. Except for words on her blog, you also find lovely, sensual images where she shows just enough to keep you coming back for more. She co-hosts the new meme, Food for Thought Friday.

Malin James

Sex can be joyful or painful, wholesome or filthy, or anything in between. The people involved determine what “kind” of sex is being had, far more than the physical act alone. The crack of a belt can be the sound of home. Missionary can be an emotional land mine. It all depends on who’s bringing what to the table, or to the bed.

Malin is the fourth newcomer to this list. Reading this part of Malin’s bio I was reminded how talented this woman is, how in her writing she manages to capture the differences of her characters, the depth of their feelings. Malin has a beautiful style of writing, that leaves me in awe at times and at lost for words to use in a comment. She doesn’t share only fiction on her site, but also writes about her personal life and posts about writing, kink and relationship. Whether you are looking for fiction or nonfiction, you should definitely visit Malin’s blog.

Melina Greenport

Melina Greenport writes provocative tastes of fiction designed to let your imagination play where her words leave off.

The fifth newcomer is Melina, a talented writer. Oh yes, and do my imagination play where her words leave off, like she said on her about page. Melina is yet another blogger that I discovered when she linked her first post to Wicked Wednesday and I have been a fan of her writing since. She doesn’t have a lot on her blog just yet, which means you can easily read everything she has written up to now. Some stories are still forthcoming, others will be continued, and I’m sure they will all be as good as the rest of Melina’s fiction.
Twitter: @MelinaGreenport

Modesty Ablaze

I hope this blog may not only be a diary, a record, of some of the events and wonderful adventures we have experienced . . . but ALSO serve as an inspiration for people to understand that to express one-self, to completely open-up and admit all those inner sexual desires and emotions and fantasies . . .

And an inspiration she is! If you have been following Modesty’s blog you know that she has the most wonderful Scavenger Hunt pics. I have no idea how many locations she has managed to do up to now, but there’s a lot! Apart from those very sexy images, Modesty also posts other images, posts about her exciting sex life and lovely, detailed product reviews. Oh, and if you have old photos you want to show off, please do so and grab the badge on Modesty’s site, linking back to her Poloroids Past page.

Molly’s Daily Kiss

Poison Pen, Dirty Mind

BICHOK. Which is basically “butt in chair, hands on keys.” I don’t know who came up with it, but I have it written on a post it note, stuck to my laptop.

Good writing advice from this utterly lovely woman, the sixth newcomer to this list. I bet “butt in chair, hands on keys” will focus you on your writing each and every time. What can I say about Oleander Plume? So many things I don’t even know where to start. Oleander is another kind soul who does everything in her power to stimulate and encourage other people to write and share their words. Other than that she has helped bloggers to ‘re-vamp’ their sites with only a few simple changes, and she’s also honest about it if your site is just fine. Just take a look on Pretty Poison Graphics if you would like Oleander to evaluate your site too. Then, her writing… you have to read her words, whether it’s fiction r about her life. It will touch your heart the way it has touched mine.

Remittance Girl

I want to rub these words against you, smear you with the pollen of possibility, infect you with nostalgia for places you’ve never been, experiences you’ve never had or have forgotten.

Remittance Girl, or RG for short, is another of the sex bloggers whom I consider a friend. We met RG at Eroticon 2013 in London and saw her again at Eroticon 2015. Seeing her again did not feel like it was more than two years later. RG has been published several times, but she has stopped submitting her fiction because of very good reasons, in my humble opinion. RG is an academic, and that is evident in all her writing. I admit, when she writes a nonfiction piece, I have to read it when there’s silence around me, which unfortunately doesn’t happen that much. But reading her fiction, I am in awe of her characterization and know that many of us can learn a lot from her!
Twitter: @remittancegirl

Sex Blog of Sorts

Blogging about erotica, sex, disability, dating and feminism (with the odd Christmas gift guide thrown in for luck.)

I have an incredible soft spot for this woman and even more so after I have finally met her at Eroticon 2015. No, I don’t feel sorry for her. I don’t pity her. I admire her for her strength, for her inner beauty. She writes beautiful erotica, writes about her love and sex life in a raw and honest way and she shares her difficulties with her disability. Maybe I am so fond of Charlie because she openly talks about her disability, and my husband is disabled too, but then again, there is so much more to her than just that. She’s a delicate soul and the times when she disappeared because she hurt so much, my heart ached for her. If you want to read a blog that’s written from the heart and where no feelings are masked, go read Charlie’s blog.
Twitter: @sexblogofsorts

Stella Kiink

I’ve met so many wonderful people through blogging and social media outlets. It’s just been fantastic!

If there is one person that I really would love to meet, it’s Stella. Last year we hoped to see her at Eroticon 2014, but unfortunately she couldn’t make it. Who knows, maybe next year. Stella writes about her experiences in BDSM, shares images and writes erotica. Just like many other sex bloggers, she writes openly about what she experiences, about the good and the bad. There’s just something in her writing, something in her images that draw me in and make me think time and time again: I want to meet you.
Twitter: @StellaKiink

Stranded in Toronto

… married the love of my life, @MrsStranded, with whom I live with our blended family of four children…

Oh my. Oh my. What should I say about this lovely man and his beautiful wife. We met them at Eroticon 2014 and really, I can’t wait to see them again. To spend time with them again. They are both lovely!
I have chosen the above quote from Stranded’s bio because I can relate so much. I too am married to the love of my life, Master T, and we have a blended family of three children. But, why is Stranded on my top 20 list? Because of his sex writing of course. It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Savannah but that I also adore Fifi. Seriously, if you haven’t read Savannah or Fifi yet, I recommend you do, because they are both SO good! If you haven’t read any of Stranded’s erotica yet, just go to his site and read some of his stories and I’m sure you will be hooked.

Understanding Flutterby

My favourite season is autumn. I love all the changes of colour and the wild weather.

These two sentences from Flip’s bio immediately struck me, as I have said so many times that I love autumn. It’s the most beautiful season of every year. But, of course there are more reasons why I have chosen her blog as one of my top 20. Flip has a lovely way to write, to translate her deepest emotions into words, to pull you into her mindset and into a scene she has gone through. Sometimes I literally have goosebumps on my arms when I read her posts. Other than that, she posts lovely images and is just a kind person. And, we share a country, which just adds an extra dimension when I read her blog.

A Dissolute life means

I’ve had the privilege of meeting Hy at Eroticon 2016 and in a fun moment, I became one of her sister brides. This woman is beautiful, inside and out. Her blog reflects her honest feelings about her sex life, as well as incredibly sexy photos of her boobs!

Hy’s post It’s hard to leave your people: EroticonLive 2016 left me with tears in my eyes and wanting to hold her in my arms again! I would love to see Hy at Eroticon 2017, but she needs more money to be able to make it. Please help her!

Hy is the host of Boobday.

Author C.P. McClennan

The name of this website used to be ‘Stranded in Toronto’, but since he is not stranded anymore, C.P. McClennan is in the process of rebranding his site. But, the person behind this website is still the same and that is someone I am fond of. Besides that I am a huge fan of his writing, especially Savannah. He has written a trilogy about Savannah and that was supposed to be the end of her. Supposed to be, because imagine my delight when I read ‘Winter Howls‘ and realized Savannah is not gone at all?

In the coming few weeks this website will undergo a total makeover, but I am sure the writing will remain of the same quality it has been up to now!

Between the Lines

Jerusalem Mortimer’s blog is the first blog featuring on my top 20 list that have not been on here before. His blog had caught my attention in the past, but I only really got into it when he started writing a spanking story about a school principal and Jennifer.

I remember a tweet where Jerusalem Mortimer will be at Eroticon and I really look forward to meeting him.

Cammies on the floor

Last year I spoke of A and M. If you have followed the blog this year, you will know that A unexpectedly passed away in October 2016. M had already gone through a difficult time with her divorce and all through this, she kept up with her blog. She’s a strong woman – remarkable. So many posts on her blog stayed with me, but I want to highlight on in tribute to A – 3 weeks.

I find myself thinking of M several times a week, wondering how she’s doing. This is one person I would love to meet in real life!

Exposing40

F Dot Leonora

Speaking of a positive personality, then you really have to meet F Dot Leonora. She is the most bubbly, positive, enthusiastic person I have ever met. She encourages others and always has a good word for everyone! I admire her ability to use every Wicked Wednesday prompt I give her in a new part of her story about Eliza, that has been running since April 2014, just after we have met at Eroticon for the first time!

Leonora also participates in Sinful Sunday, but she never shows any naked parts. Just recently, she posted an image and I was in awe of the sexiness of her White Flower.

Happy Come Lucky

Horny Geek Girl

Illicit Thoughts

Kat has been on my radar for quite some time and has featured on my top list last year too. She has blogged less this year because of a health scare, but she’s back and her writing is as good as ever. Sometimes she writes personal posts, other times she writes fiction. And sometimes her fiction and fact seem to come together in a story, such as in Through His Eyes.

I hope Kat will get back to post some of her sexy Sinful Sunday photos again!

Melina Greenport

Melina has been writing a bit less in the second part of this year, but the pieces she wrote are so good that I just had to put her blog here on my top list. She knows how to keep your attention from the first word to the end, and how to use her words to also tell a story between the lines. And, she also manages to make the every day things so damn sexy, such as in her story ‘Training the New Kid‘.

I hope to be reading more of Melina in 2017!

Modesty Ablaze

This one is the queen of Scavenger hunting. She has done so many Scavenger hunt photos and I always smile at the stories she tells with those photos. The interaction between her and her husband is really lovely. Other than Scavenger hunting, Modesty blogs about her real life sex experiences and does product reviews.

You can also join in with Modesty’s Polaroids Past, where you can post older images of yourself and link back to her page.

Molly’s Daily Kiss

Pain as Pleasure

The third newcomer for this year is Pain as Pleasure. This blog is written by a man who frequently visits a professional Domme and blogs about his experiences. He also writes about his fantasies and shares his train of thought, such as he has done in his post ‘Pleasing the Domme – pleasing the sub‘.

It’s lovely to read a blog from the male submissive point of view and I sure look forward to read a lot more of his work in 2017.

Sex Blog of Sorts

I’ve said it before, but will say it again: I have a soft spot for this woman. She’s an incredible writer, a sensitive soul and I definitely consider her a friend, even though we mostly only talk about Eroticon. On her blog she shares her erotica, but also shares gift ideas and photos. Just recently she has posted an image that really caught my attention and made me wait in anticipation to hear the back story about it.

Charlie also shares openly about her disability, which in my opinion helps others out there to share more openly too.

Bring on Eroticon 2017 so I can hug this woman again!

Stella Kiink

Stella hasn’t gotten around to blogging a lot in 2016, but still I wanted to include her in this list. Her writing is always lovely, whether it’s fiction like Guns and Wolves or her real life words like she did for the 2016 A to Z challenge. But, she also posts lovely images.

Some years ago we hoped to meet Stella at Eroticon, but unfortunately she couldn’t make it. I guess this just means we will have to go to Canada to meet her, right?

The Other Livvy

This D/s Life

Understanding Flutterby

A beautiful woman who writes beautiful words and posts beautiful images of herself. She has a way with words. They pull you in, make you feel her raw emotions. She has the ability to describe things so clearly, using much less words than I can, such as in her post ‘Tasked with asking for what I need’.

Flutterby has been a bit quiet on her blog in the past month, but I am sure we will see and read more of her in 2017.

You wont tame this Sassy Cat

The fifth and last newcomer to my top 20 list is ‘SassyCat’ or, we may call her Cat. I have no idea why Cat didn’t feature on my list before, as I have been following her for more than just 2016. Cat has quite a diverse blog, sharing product reviews (not always sex products), writing erotica and about her sexy life and she shares the most lovely images, like she did for her ’12 days of Sexmas’.

Cat is a very active blogger and somewhere I have read that she thought about stopping, but I sure hope she continues to entertain us with her lovely words and images!

A Dissolute life means

Hy has gone through very difficult times this year. She has had a couple of terrible dates, all of which she has told us about. I have the feeling she has grown so much stronger this year, has come to a point where she’s allowing herself to be herself, to return to what really is important to her.

I have seen Hy struggling a lot after TN has left her, and here she blogs about him finally being gone. I hope that she will finally be able to get him out of her system and find happiness now, because she really deserve sit. Hyacinth has a beautiful body, as can be seen in many of her posts, especially Boobday posts like this one.

Hy is the host of Boobday.

Between the Lines

I could have met Jerusalem Mortimer (Jaime) at Eroticon 2017, but unfortunately we couldn’t make it, which now of course have me hoping that I can meet him in 2018, when I will definitely be at Eroticon. How could I not want to meet the man who writes the story of Maddie? It started out as Jennifer’s story, but then changed into that of Maddie. If I read about the cane strokes it makes me cringe, but also long to be submitted to it.

I am not going to highlight only one post of Jaime’s site, but the entire Jennifer/Maddie series. Go find the beginning and start to read.

Books1799

This is a newcomer to my list, but also a new ‘face’ on the blogging scene. I have read several of Cousin Pons’s posts and I have to say, I really like his writing style. It’s also great to have another male blogger on board! Keep an eye on this one, because I am sure he has a lot of good stories still waiting to be written.

One of his posts that has really stayed with me is The Hollow Gram Club, which is actually quite sad.

Cammies on the floor

I adore Cammies. Whenever I think of M, I cannot help to think how much I want to hug her and somehow I always think of A too. It’s been a year in October that A passed away and she may never be forgotten. Cammies write about her sex life – the good and the bad, and she posts the most beautiful images, also of her in rope suspension. I look forward to the day that I can meet M for real!

One of the sessions M has written about has frequent references to Wet Leather, and I love it! The post, A year ago, shows M with her baby sister A, and I love that she keeps the memory alive on the blog too, as M and A started the blog together.

Cleareyedgirl

Eye is the second newcomer to my list. She’s a beautiful woman, this one, caring and kind and a wonderful writer. I had the privilege to meet her in 2016 at Eroticon and can’t wait to see her again, hopefully next year. Eye writes about Him, the one who makes her happy and her images are always sexy and inviting.

I am going to highlight two of Eye’s posts, the first a stunning piece of writing that resonated with me: Sometimes I ask Him to look me in the eye and hurt me. The second post shows a stunning image of Eye on an autumnal morning.

F Dot Leonora

This bubbly personality is someone you really want to meet. Leonora is one of the most supportive bloggers I know and she’s a damn good editor too. You can find lots of words on her blog but one thing I still find amazing is that Leonora has a story she is writing for Wicked Wednesday and she always follows the prompt, no matter what. I think it’s brilliant!

Leonora isn’t only writing an ongoing story for Wicked Wednesday, but is doing the same for Masturbation Monday.

Modesty Ablaze

Modesty definitely is the Scavenger Queen of the blogging community. She gets to the most wonderful places and has grabbed a lot of opportunities to pose naked and add notches to her Scavenger hunt. Other than that she also shares from her diary and photos of many years ago, in her Polaroid Past series. But, that is not all she does. Modesty also shares from her real life sex videos, and besides that, she also finds time to do product reviews.

She really is a busy bee!

Pain as Pleasure

Ever since I have started reading Bibulous One’s blog I have been hooked. He writes about his visits to sex workers, about being caned and caning a submissive he has paid. He has a beautiful style of writing and sometimes the vulnerability in his posts really touch me. He also posts images, but in the end it’s really his writing that keeps me coming back.

There are two posts that really got to me in the past months. The first was GFE – a kink for authenticity. I have not known the term GFE before I have read this post. A second post that touched me deeply is one ‘S Wonderful! ‘S Marvelous!. There are many other posts that are really special, but you will just have to discover them yourselves.

Rabbit in Chains

The third newcomer to my list is Rabbit in Chains. I have been reading her blog for quite some time now and probably should have included it last year too and the year before that too – each time when I got hooked on one of her stories, like I am now hooked on her Star Talker series.

Of course this is not all that Rabbit has written. She is a talented writer and dreams up worlds that don’t exist. Her characters are strong, her plots interesting and solid. Go read her!

Scandarella

The next (fourth) newcomer to my list is Ella Scandal, or Scandarella.
I only started reading Scandarella when she first participated in Wicked Wednesday and I have to say, I was hooked. She is such a talented writer! One story that immediately comes to mind is A Night to Remember, because of the Titanic setting, but also A Taste for the Exotic, because it is not my kink at all, but written so well that it has kept my attention from beginning to end.

Other than writing erotica, Ella does a lot of product reviews too.

Spank me hard, please

The fifth newcomer to this list is Lurvspanking, or LS. He mostly writes spanking stories from the submissive’s perspective and I have to tell you, when he does, my bottom always seems to tingle as if it’s begging for its own spanking. Like Scandarella, I only started reading LS’s blog when he joined in for Wicked Wednesday. LS has a really high productivity, so much so that I cannot keep up with reading everything, even though I want to. I really enjoyed The Spanking Misadventuers of Stephanie, which started out as a Wicked Wednesday story and has now been published. He has written so many lovely Wicked Wednesday stories that I have no idea which one to highlight, so go read them all.

Stranded in Toronto

There is one city on this globe I still want to visit and that is Toronto. Not because I want to see Toronto that much, but because I want to visit Mr. and Mrs. Stranded! I consider them friends ever since we met them at Eroticon 2013, right after they got married. Stranded is one of my favorite writers, and my favorite of the stories he has ever written, is his Savannah series. That’s one hot woman, Savannah (http://strandedintoronto.com/tag/savannah/).

He hasn’t nearly written as much as I would have wanted him to, but there were enough to enjoy, such as when he wrote ‘In the Cold‘ for the Titanic prompt of Wicked Wednesday.
If you want to know more about living a poly lifestyle, you can also find and listen to the Polytix Lifestyle Podcast on Stranded’s site.

Understanding Flutterby

I have frequently sat at my laptop, reading Flutterby’s words and stared at the screen in amazement at her wonderful use of words. She can pull you right into a scene – whether happy or sad or painful in whatever way – and make you feel what she feels, by only using words. To me, what Flutterby writes, is art.

Besides her words, she posts the most beautiful images of herself, such as her post Time’s Twisted Mirror, where she combined the image with her strong words.

Aurora Glory

Aurora is a newcomer to my top 20 list. I only really started following her blog when she signed up for the Smut Marathon, and I don’t regret doing so as she is a very talented woman. Aurora doesn’t only write reviews on her blog, but shares beautiful images and writes erotica too. It was wonderful following her in the Smut Marathon and seeing how she grew throughout. I met Aurora at Eroticon, but we didn’t speak much. This is something I want to change in 2019.

Who is Aurora Glory?

Brigit Delaney

I followed Brigit back when she was still blogging as ‘The Lustful Literate’, and in 2014 that blog was one of the blogs in my top 20 list. However, to me Brigit is a newcomer to this list, because of her new site. I have always been a fan of Brigit’s writing and when you read her stories, you will know why. She has a way with words and knows how to weave a great story. She doesn’t only write fiction, but writes honestly about the problems in her marriage, her mental health, and much more.

Who is Brigit Delaney?

Cara Thereon

Cara hasn’t only started blogging this year, but this year (thanks to the Smut Marathon), I have discovered her writing and I am in awe of her talent to weave a story. It doesn’t matter whether it’s sci fi or detectives or drama, she can write a story and her words totally pull you in. At Eroticon 2018 I had the privilege of meeting this kind woman in person, and I already look forward to seeing her again next year. And not only her words, but also her images will wow you!

Who is Cara Thereon?

Cleareyedgirl

For the second year Eye features on my list. I love this woman. She is gentle and kind and sweet and sexy and… what has been so important to me this year… supporting. Eye went through her own hardships this year with the passing of her father and even then she had kind words for me. A strong woman I admire! I still remember our talk at Eroticon 2018, where she was so understanding and passed some of her strength and resilience on to me.

Who is Eye?

Exposing40

Whenever Exposing40 blogs, I want to add her post to my #SoSS posts. Whatever she writes make sense and her photos are so good. She’s creative and the way she collaborates with other people, putting them at ease, taking stunning images and sharing them, is just wonderful. I am also a bit in awe of her travels and the things she experiences in her life.

Who is Exposing40?

F Dot Leonora

On of the most supporting members of the sex blogging community is F Dot. Her enthusiasm about the works of others always shines through, she retweets the posts and memes of others and she’s just lovely on all fronts. She’s also the host of the Friday Flash meme, something you really should participate in if you haven’t done so yet! I can tell you one thing: when you meet F Dot in person, you will be showered by her positivity and love!

Kilted Wookie

I looked at my lists of previous years and I was shocked when I realized that Kilted Wookie has never been on them. How could I not have included him? He is one of the few men who blogs, but also one of the few men who blogs honestly about mental health. Reading his posts on cunnilingus and blow jobs always make me squirm in my chair, and this is not because he is a continued supporter of the Oral Sex Project, but because of the details he uses. Kilted Wookie runs the weekly Food for Thought Friday meme, where you can share your thoughts on different subjects.

My Controlled Ascent

Kisungura is the seventh newcomer in my list and one of the new bloggers that has made me so happy that they have joined our special community. When she writes, I hang on her words, whether it’s fiction, about her sexual experiences or about her mental health. She writes honestly about everything and in such a way that her words draw you in. So many times I have read her words and saw myself (us) in them, like her thoughts about when their D/s seems to move to the background, the doubts she has in herself and how she finds her strength back again. But also her posts about mental health have helped me enormously with getting in touch with my own feelings.

Who is Kisungura?

Pain As Pleasure

I don’t think I will ever tire of reading Bibulous One’s experiences with professional sexy workers – dominant and submissive. So many times I read his post and think: I want this too, but then I think about how much I fear the cane, and how I think I will never be able to handle as much as he does. But still, a girl can dream. Sometimes I even think of asking B1 for a spanking session, but I quickly dismiss the though too, as I will never be able to ask. I will just keep on reading about his experiences, and place myself in his place, fueling my fantasies. You should read him too…

Who is Bibulous One?

Scandarella

If you want to read the stories of an incredibly talented erotica writer, you have to read Ella Scandal’s stories. Man oh man, can this woman write! No matter what the prompt, she crafts you a story, but her stories that really get to me are the darker ones. They are good, so good that shivers run down my spine when I read them, and I go all wet. You will find some product reviews on Ella’s site too, but honestly, I go there for the erotica!

Who is Ella Scandal?

Sex Matters

May More is the next newcomer to my list, and someone that has made her mark in the sex blogging community during this year. She did incredibly well during the Smut Marathon, going from writing very little fiction to ending in fifth place out of the 87 writers that started this race. But it’s not only because of he achievement in the marathon that she is on my list. No, also for what she writes, where she dares to tackle subjects many shy away from, and her enormous support for others in the community, whether it’s pointing people to blog posts of fellow writers or tweeting her favorite Sinful Sunday entries.

Who is May More?

Submissy

The last newcomer to my list is Submissy, who from the moment I started reading her blog, had my attention. I love the way she writes about her D/s relationship with HisLordship, and how many times I recognize things in there that are in our D/s relationship. Not only her open and honest words, but also her images are composed in the most appealing way, whether they are for Christmas or taken outside in the woods.

A Dissolute life means

Last year Hy wasn’t on my list, but this year I just couldn’t leave her off the list again. She is just too special! I still smile every time I think of her ending up in my lap at Erotion this year, and the looks on the faces of my sister wives, Molly and Girl on the Net, when they saw that!

Hy’s year has been all about change, as she herself said in her post I haven’t written in 72 days. Every post she has put out there in this year touched me in some or other way. She’s brutally honest in her writing, sometimes bringing tears to my eyes. Hy used to be the host of Boobday, but stopped with it as it didn’t bring her the joy it once did, and she’s still deciding on what to do. She has, however, this year hosted Every Damn Day in June for the second time this year, and I hope she does so again next year.

Hy has participated in the Smut Marathon 2019, and surprised herself with her lovely result of being the second runner up. There is no way she can now still say that she can’t write fiction!

Brigit Delaney

On my list of 2018, I mentioned how much I like Brigit’s writing. I still do, and always look forward to reading one of her stories. After following Brigit from 2014, I considering her a friend for quite some time, I was delighted to finally meet her at Eroticon this year. We spent some time together and got to know each other a bit better, but I would’ve loved to have spent a lot more time with her. Who knows, maybe next year!

One series Brigit has started writing this year and which I really hope she continues, is The Disappearance Of Emily Bennett. This series totally intrigue me, and I want to see where she takes it. To give you another example of her brilliant writing, you should read Frigid. This year also saw the start of a new meme hosted by Brigit, and called the Erotic Journal Challenge. It started out as a weekly meme, but has been changed into a monthly meme with a monthly theme, and you can link as many posts during the month as you want.

Brigit has also jumped in to help with the Smut Marathon 2019 as a judge, when another judge couldn’t fulfill their duties. She gives feedback on the stories in such a way that the writes can learn something from it.

Cara Thereon

Cara continues to produce stories of a high quality, despite her writing less than she did before, and not being in a good place mentally. I admire her strength and the way she keeps on trying, despite her difficult personal times. Two posts that from her blog that are stuck in my mind are (In)Significant Third and Third Eye Blind. Sometimes when I read her posts about real life, all I want to do is hug her, and am happy that I got to do so at Eroticon this year, and hope I can do so again next year.

Cara has moved most of her stories to a new home, called Chapters. If you are one of her patrons, you can also read her ongoing story.

Deviant Succubus

Deviant Succubus is the first newcomer to my list this year. From the first image I saw of her, I was intrigued, and even more intrigued by her open and very honest writing about her past and present life. Deviant Succubus (DS) has an incredibly high output of posts, and participates in almost every meme out there.

Whenever I think of her, there is one post that always springs to mind: Dissociative Identity Disorder and Relationships – It’s Complicated!. I have learned so much from this post, but not only from this one. DS continues to write about her mental health, not to ask for sympathy, but to get the word out there and to help others. Oh and, before I forget, you should see the images she posts! They are so good!
If you want to know more about DS, please read her ‘about page‘ and do follow her blog.

His Lordship

The third newcomer on my list is a man, but not just any man! I don’t know how I missed His Lordship (HL) and his wife, Missy, at Eroticon 2018, but I did. At Eroticon 2019 it was totally different. Suddenly, there they were to introduce themselves, at the Meet & Greet on the Friday night. Missy is a beautiful woman, and where I constantly admired her, it was also HL’s kilt that caught my attention. And his handsome face.

His Lordship writes for every prompt that is posted by the meme he co-hosts with Submissy, called Tell Me About, and I like reading his take on things, but what I like even more is that I have discovered his fiction. Two stories he wrote this year, The Digger’s Kiss and Two Songs For Emily, have stayed with me ever since I read them. As an extra bonus, HL is one of the speakers at Eroticon 2020 and I sure hope I can go listen to him!

My Controlled Ascent

Kisungura is one of the bloggers I really would love to meet in person. She continues to produce high quality content for her blog, whether it’s in words or images. She writes about her D/s relationship, it’s ups and downs, her mental health and her road to healing, and besides this, she writes stunning erotica!

Sometimes I wonder where Kisungura gets her ideas for images. I mean, look at Unzip Me. This is art! And what about Dough. It seems like just an image of her baking, until you read the quote and you find the deeper meaning behind the image. Rotten to the Core is a hot and sexy story, but also filthy and forbidden, and definitely one of my favorites, just like the cunningly fun Halloween story Which Witch is Which?

Pain as Pleasure

While Bibulous One’s posts about his visits to professional sex workers are not as plenty as they were before, he has entered a new phase of his life since he has met and is spending time with his special lady friend. I am so happy for him, for finally being at a point in his life where happiness seems to fill his days, even though there are also tougher days, such as the when he wrote Telling Them about telling his sons that their parents are going to separate.

This new lady friend of Bibulous One switches roles with him, which means we still occasionally get to read about his sexy times, such as A Birthday Whipping, and we also get to see images of him doing his Saturday Chores at her place, or The Curve of her Waist. I love this new happy vibe on B1’s blog!

Purple’s Gem

The sixth and last newcomer to my list is the blog of a beautiful couple I got to meet at Eroticon this year – the Purples. I say beautiful, because they really are a beautiful couple. I just loved when they walked on over and asked if they could hug me. Next year I want to sit down and have a conversation with them.

Both PurpleSole and Littlegem writes on their blog, and to distinguish between them, PurpleSole writes in purple, and Littlegem in black. They write about their D/s relationship in the most open way, sharing details of preparations for role play — Planning a BDSM Schoolgirl Scene — but also about things that didn’t work for them or how they can improve for a next time. There are so many good posts on their blog, like Pleasure of the Unknown by Littlegem, There’s Always a But and Ruby Ring-piece, both by PurpleSole. Writing is not all they do. No this couple is a brilliant team when it comes to creating images. I mean, just look at these images: None Sew PrettyLife’s a Beach and Bring Me To Life, where PurpleSole was behind the camera, but we also got to see him on the other side in Dom Rod.

I love this blog, love to see this couple exploring and want to be ‘witness’ to that for many years to come.

Sex Matters

At Eroticon 2018 I briefly got to talk to May and I was disappointed when I learned that she wouldn’t be at Eroticon 2019. But, next year both of us will be speakers at Eroticon, and of course May is another person I want to at least have a longer conversation. It’s going to get busy at Eroticon with everyone I want to talk to.

Just like last year, when I added May to my Top 20 list, I still love her writing, and her ability to weave a tale. Seriously, if you haven’t read any of her fiction yet, you should. Two stories I really love are Catch the Catcher and Smile for the Camera. And then one of the more recent ones, List in a Bucket, which made me cry.

But, May doesn’t only put words on her site, she also shares sexy images. Besides her own work, May also shares the work of others in her monthly #SoSS. I love how those who do #SoSS posts each have their own style for it.

Besides her own blog, May is also co-host of the weekly meme Food for Thought.

Submissy

In 2018 Submissy was on my list too, and I am still hanging on every word she writes about their D/s relationship, not only the good things, but also the low(er) times they go through. Her honest way of writing really appeals to me, and makes me feel a connection with what she writes.

A series I really enjoyed was April’s Submissive Training Journal. The way Missy wrote it, and the way she addressed the different aspects of a submissive in such an erotic way was really brilliant. If you are looking to start a D/s dynamic, Missy’s useful posts is definitely where you should look first. Missy occasionally posts images, and what I like is that she has all of those in one place called Throwing Caution To The Window.

Just like her husband, His Lordship, Missy writes for every prompt that is posted by the meme they co-host, called Tell Me About. And again, just like her husband, Missy is one of the speakers at Eroticon 2020! I really want to go listen to both of them!
