“Now!”

That one word brings her into action. She sips the last of the red wine from her glass, turns to him, smiles, kisses him, and slips off the bar stool.

Standing against the wall, her eyes averted, her coat half open and revealing the invitation underneath, she waits. The buzzing of voices continues – business men who enjoy a Friday night drink after a heavy work week. Soon other sounds tell her they see her.

She doesn’t look at them. Just waits, as ordered.

He wants them to desire her; to touch her.

Soon someone will, and others will follow.

Writing a story of exactly 100 words is quite a challenge. It’s a great exercise, as it forces you to look critically at what you have written, and dares you to keep to the essence of your story.
