Christmas bows and an arrow

A couple of days ago I shared an image for the kink advent calendar, of bright red, glittery Christmas bows hanging from my nipples. There was one image in that series I held back to share today, and as I sat here, looking for a quote to share with this image, I came across this:

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So, when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it’s going to launch you into something great, so just focus and keep aiming.

This made me think of two things: first, the tattoo my daughter has on her hand, of a bow and arrow, with the string being pulled back. She had this done about a year after my mom passed away.

Secondly it made me think of my son, and the incredibly difficult time he is going through now. Not a day goes by that I am not worried about him. It’s hard, very hard, and all the time I keep in mind that he will get through this. He is strong, and I can’t lose faith in him. Where he has to do all the work to get through this, and while he does, he can lean on me.

So where this was supposed to be a festive image, and we are supposed to be in a festive month, please take a moment to think of those people out there who don’t feel the festive cheer, but struggle with mental health, to the point where they don’t feel like they should be here anymore. And those of you who struggle, I hear you. Find someone to lean on, because there are always people out there who want to support you through your difficult times. You matter!

Christmas bows, like the one in this image, made my thoughts travel on some less festive roads.

    1. A challenging time indeed, but we all got through it some way or the other. And thankfully the piercings help with the decorating too 😉
