An image of the four ladies who formed the Bond string quartet.
Together Tania Davis (violin), Eos Counsell (violin), Elspeth Hanson (viola) and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello) are BOND, the original electric string quartet.

Sleeping with the musician?

I have never had a crush on any musician, or if I had it, I might just not remember it, which means it must’ve been a short-lived crush.I was also not the girl who had posters all over my room, like my oldest daughter had with the Backstreet Boys.

At first I was going to let this prompt of Musically Ranting go, but then I read Sass C.’s post, A Floor Jansen Fantasy, and suddenly there it was… an idea.

Bond and Victory

Some years ago Master T and I discovered Bond — an Australian/British string quartet that specialises in classical crossover and synth-pop music. We also love music by Vanessa May, and the four ladies who formed the string quartet really knew how to use their instruments to make some beautiful music. And, to be really honest, I definitely don’t have a crush on any of these ladies, but I wouldn’t mind sharing my bed with any one of them!

Up to today, our favorite song of Bond is Victory. The energy of this piece of music is just brilliant!

  1. It’s been years since I listened to Bond. I wouldn’t kick any of these talented ladies out of bed either.. haha. Explosive was one of my favorites, great choice Marie!
