When the seventh prompt for Tie me up Tuesday — Tie Those Hands – went live, and I saw the back-arm harness, it reminded me of those play dates we had many years ago, where my hands were tied behind my back like that. Now I could never get my arms that far over each other behind my back, but far enough for a tie to be done and my arms to be immobilized.
Of course I knew, doing these rope challenges by myself, that there was no way in which I would be able to do that tie, But there was a challenge for those of us who are alone too — rope handcuffs.
I followed the tutorial by The Dutchy and have to say that I was surprised at how quickly I had it done. Full disclosure: when I got to step 3, I was totally confused. I was working from my phone, and had the loops in front of me, but the other side around from the images in the tutorial. I turned my phone upside down, and from there on it was easy!
So easy, that I decided to combine two colors of rope together and do the tie a second time!
Of course Master T had to help me with the photos!

I really like those ties! And omg, I had such a difficulty to get the behind my back arm harness done, because of my fat upper arms and my short arms. Not nice, lol.
I really wanted to do the back-arm harness (with the help of Master T of course) but from the past I remembered that I could never get my arms far enough back, so decided to just keep with the simple tie 😉
I loved your images!
Lol, I’m glad to read there was at least a moment of confusion for you tying these. It’s so funny to me how everyone finds these super easy (and they really are when you watch a tutorial on your screen) but how everyone I was in this beginner workshop with was so confused. Seems like in-person practical learning doesn’t always trump straight forward video tutorials! I like that you did it a second time with two colours. It inspired me to do mine with two colours too, though yours look much better ?
I really loved your images of the two ropes, and your hands behind that chair! And you are right, in person learning is not always the best way to do things 😉
This is really pretty Marie. I love the two colours of rope and your tying looks excellent ?
Thank you, Missy xox
This is so simple but so effective in the way you did it and in the final image too
May x
Thank you, May. It’s really an easy tie and I might even be able to do it again without looking at the tutorial 😉 xox
Well you do use pretty colours of rope! lol. Nice to see you take part in this venture.
I’m actually enjoying it too! 🙂
Although I love “rope work” I’m never very good at doing it myself … so well done on your results.
And those pinks and blues do look pretty !!!

Thank you, K. This is a whole new adventure for me, tying myself. Master T helped me with the photos for this one, and who knows, he might even help me with future ties 😉 xox
