Slippery

The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month.
~ Henry van Dyke

Even though it’s officially spring, and even though we’ve had a couple of spring days, I am still often cold. When I just started working from home halfway through March, the weather was still chilly, but even on the really spring-y days, I was cold. My desk is in the middle o the living room, furthest away from the central heating, and I think that’s the reason why I constantly have cold feet. Now I haven’t owned a pair of slippers for YEARS, but I was so annoyed with my cold feet, that I ordered myself a pair, and wore them every day since they arrived the next day.

I have even said that when we have to return to the office, I will take my slippers with me, as I am so used to wearing them now!

As long as spring is as chilly as now, these slippers will be on my feet…

  1. I am such a big fan of slippers!! My feet are always cold at home if I don’t wear shoes and wearing shoes is uncomfortable at home so slippers it is!
I love the pair you got and what a very nice picture that is 😉

    1. Thanks, ML. Now that I am so used to these slippers, I am asking myself why I haven’t owned any for years. If these are worn out, I will definitely be very quick in replacing them! 😉 xox

  2. This is so cute Marie – my mum would say “never cast a clout til May is out” – which apparently meant keep your stocking on til June lol xx

    1. Nice saying! This means I can wear my slippers for the rest of this month too, right?! xox

  3. I’m honestly not sure how I’m going to go back wearing real clothes and shoes to work. And I feel like I’m also going to need to bring my dogs and cats. Comfort has become a huge part of my life these past weeks.

(P.S. those are cute slippers and look very cozy)

    1. They definitely are very cozy!
I have more or less dressed the same I do than I do when I go to the office, except for the slippers. It’s going to be really hard leaving them behind!

  4. 😊😊 I’ve been wearing my high heels every day, but I don’t think I’ll be wearing them back in the office 😉

    1. It’s a pity you can’t, but at least you can enjoy wearing them every day now 😉

  5. They look very comfortable. I buy slippers but loose them. No idea what happens they just vanish!

I love this picture. Very natural and candid.

    Take care

    Sweet. X

  6. That’s a pretty special and quite exquisite picture – thank you for sharing this -; Cold feet is something quite common, my wife takes a slightly perverse pleasure in unexpectedly warming her feet on me when I’m close enough – once or twice they have been cold enough to border on quite a shock but there is something quite sensual in someone feeling comfortable enough to realise that you will warm them.

    1. That is so sweet, that she warms her feet with your body heat. I can imagine the shock though! Thank you for your comment 🙂

    1. I always go to bed with socks, sometimes even in summer, and halfway through the night I start to undress and then spend the rest of the night sleeping naked. But during daytime I frequently I sometimes just seem not to be able to warm up, so I am very happy with my new slippers 🙂
