#SoSS #123: The Recovering Edition

I am finally recovering from the ‘cold’ I have. I write that in quotation marks, because I have no idea whether it was a cold or not. It’s not COVID-19, of that I am 99% sure. You see, when I started coughing on Monday, I got worried. On Wednesday I called the doctor’s office, and I have never been asked so many questions before. The doctor called me back within 10 minutes, asked some more questions and then said if it was corona (I had already told him I don’t think it’s that), I would already have been in hospital since I was in the third week of being sick. He prescribed antibiotics, and said: “if it’s corona, this won’t help.”

I’m on day 4 and I am starting to feel better. My chest still hurts some, but my head Is clearer. In the meantime our national ‘intellectual lock-down’ has been extended until 28 April and I have secured to work home until then. For now I am staying in, especially since we heard our neighbors both have COVID-19 and they have no idea how they got it. Thankfully, they only have mild symptoms.

I have taken on some extra work since I am working at home and get a lot more done here than in the office (no interruptions), and to free the hands of those ladies whose work require them to be in the office. This means I work extra hours too, and by the end of this, I will need some kind of recovery. Thankfully I will get it, as we have a 3-week holiday coming up in May, and since we never travel during holidays except for day trips, I am going to use that to ‘catch my breath’.

For now, I have some delicious posts from the past week to share with you.

I knew I shouldn’t, but I did — in between all that working-from-home, I tried to catch up on my blog reading, as I was running way behind this week. That’s how I came to read Cara Thereon’s Glory, which had me pushing my legs together, and longing for a moment for myself! Hot!

A brilliantly informative post, which you should read if you are Curious about Dominance and submission? That’s a post by Submissy, and she definitely busts a couple of myths over here!

There is just something about octopus stories that always draw me in and make me squirm a bit, which is what happened when I ready Octopied by Nilla. This story even goes a bit further than other similar stories I have read, and I love it!

Jayne Renault put a quote on her post with a lovely image: I have nothing to say; some things speak for themselves.
She was right. This image, Warm and Fuzzy definitely speaks for itself.

Sweetgirls new meme, Fun Theme Photo Meme has started on 1 April (no joke) and the first image she has for her own meme is Sweetgirl Pin Up and it’s beautiful. I love the posture, the edit and the colors.

There is something about natural body marks that is very beautiful, as it shows the history of a life, just like Little Switch Bitch’s post One For…. And yes, I know I try to hide my own flaws, while admiring those of others, but I am learning to love them.

I love creativity in an image, and that is what I see in Spanked with Love by MrsK on her blog Life of a Kinky Wife. The heart-shaped opening in the paddle gives a perfect view on its target.

Somehow when I think of pin up images, I think of red dresses, and especially red polka dot dresses. PurpleSole has nailed it in the image of Gem, Tooled Up.

  1. So glad for you (and Master T) that you’re on the mend. Working from home will give you that extra buffer from new germs, but don’t over-do things.
I love how comprehensive your round-up is, I keep this page open all week to decide which memes I can join with or combine for 1 post. I am delighted that LSB picked my post for your #WickedWednesday top 3 – I really owed my readers something new to read/look at as I’ve been rather absorbed with work for other sites.
Keep doing what you do Marie, we appreciate all your hard work. x

    1. It humbles me to see you use my post to decide which memes you can join, Posy. I love doing these roundups and to give back to a community that has given me so much xox

  2. Thank you for including my image and for telling people about my prompt too. Im so glad you’re starting to feel better.

    Thank you so much ?

    Sweetgirl x

    1. I feel your prompt is much needed in this community, which is why it will be on my #SoSS for as long as you continue to run it xox
