Love is a war…

Love is a war of lightning,
and two bodies ruined by a single sweetness.
Kiss by kiss I cover your tiny infinity,
your margins, your rivers, your diminutive villages,
and a genital fire, transformed by delight,
slips through the narrow channels of blood
to precipitate a nocturnal carnation,
to be, and be nothing but light in the dark.
~ Pablo Neruda

Master T looked at me strangely when I bought carnations (I normally only buy flowers in spring and summer), but of course I had something special in mind of these red carnations…

  1. I hope Master T gave you a look other than strange after seeing this because this is a gorgeous photo! I love the way the lingerie and the flowers compliment eachother so well. Also the poem is brilliant.

  2. I *love* Neruda’s poetry and the tucked in flowers really speak to his sensual and nature inspired themes. Lovely pic, M.
