Acting Strong

I hide my true feelings to avoid causing you trouble or pain, I act strong to show you that I’m not unreliable, I hold my tears back to show you that I’m happy but what hurts the most is knowing the fact that I’m not all these things I portray to be.
~ Harriet Morgan

Sometimes all I want to do is turn my back and walk away, but there are a million reasons not to, so I straighten my back, put a smile on my face and get on with life.

  1. Sometimes it seems like walking away would be easier…but only for the moment. It comes with its own difficulties. And unless it is best for us and others, which sometimes it is, we turn round and get back in the fight.

Because we are strong and capable women who do not back down or give up. Even though we may need a bit of down time or a really long cry occasionally.

  2. I have a similar dress and this looks great on you. Sometimes I think being able to act strong is important but it’s also important to be able to let go when you are safe ?

  3. I love how the lingerie almost covers your butt but doesn’t quite! The shadow on the wall in combination of what you wrote portrays that what you’re saying.
