I am starting to feel my ‘happy’ again.
A couple of days before Christmas I started slipping into a depressed state (not a depression, just feeling very down) and no matter what I did, I couldn’t get away from feeling down. The ‘Christmas Blues’ someone called it. Two days before Christmas something happened at my work that totally shook my self confidence. This week, yesterday actually, I was finally able to put it behind me and this weekend I am planning on a lot of rest, and hope the nasty dreams I have been having for the past three weeks will finally disappear and I can sleep better again.
But, coming through this I have yet again learned something new about myself. I did a lot of introspection in the past weeks, and I have come to some conclusions. Don’t worry, a blog post is brewing in my head, and will be published sometime in the coming weeks. Honestly, what I learned about myself has helped to bring my happy back, and also a bit of my self-confidence. It’s still fragile, but at least my heart is feeling lighter again, and I want to build on this feeling!
On to more happiness!
Not only does It’s all in the wrist by Molly Moore have the hottest words, pulling you right into her hot memories, but she also shares a most delicious image to go with it!
Jae Lynn’s story, A Little Weight has put a smile on my face, as between all the sexiness, there was also a lot of fun! Sex and laughter are always a good combination in my book.
A truly beautiful post, Welcome to the Polycoaster by Tristan, the partner of Nikki, and about their new adventures, and his feelings about it. I have a feeling there’s more to come.
Sometimes you read something, and when you’re done, you are left with mixed feelings. Positive mixed feelings. Feelings of wow, and where did that come from and oh-my-god-he-needs-to-write-more-fiction. That’s how I felt when I read PurpleSole’s post, Cruel to You.
It’s so good to see Cara Thereon back to writing again, and I just enjoy all the hot, filthy stories she is crafting for us. Just read Who Wants to Think to see what I mean!
- Small silver nipple ring with blue sparkly ball #SJC 105 by Missy — sometimes you see an image and all you can do is stare at the beauty in front of you. This is what happened when I saw this stunning image!
- Cave of Wonders by Jayne Renault — the moment I saw this image, I liked it. It makes me feel like I have caught her in a private moment.
- Seeing the Dark Side by Francesca Demont — I almost feel bad for choosing this image as one of the top ones for the past week, because I now know the back story. It’s a strong image, which turns stronger and scary when you read Francesca’s story.
- Shadow-Self Self Love by Violet Fawkes — Violet is a true artist, and the way she edited this image gave the word ‘shadow’ a lot more meaning than only one.
- New Lingerie… by WeConnect — already when I saw the small version of this image on the link-up, I knew it would feature in my #SoSS this week. And the full version is even more beautiful than the small one. WOW!

Every week someone else in the community does the top 3 roundup for Wicked Wednesday. Sometimes it’s me, but mostly it’s someone else. I love to engage others to do it, because I want Wicked Wednesday to be for everyone.
Are you interested in doing the roundup (again)? Just get in contact with me!
Prompt 397 for Wicked Wednesday was ‘A New Year’ for which 30 posts were linked. The top 3 was done by C.P. McClennan and he chose:
- Motivate Me by Queer Courtesan
- Mission Lady Mode – My Kind of Motivation by Deviant Succubus
- Motivation by Lilith’s Blog
It’s amazing! The entries were supposed to be opened until 19 January, but on Tuesday 7 January we reached the 120 participants that were allowed for this year’s competition. There is a reason why I have maximized the number of writers: there is a lot of admin to be done, and I run this competition all by myself, and I need to know that I have enough time to give proper attention to the stories. But, that’s not all, 120 stories, however short, are a lot to read in the first and the second round, and I feel that this is the maximum burden I want to put on the judges. We’ll see how it goes this year, and otherwise I might even maximize it to only 100 participants next year. But that’s future music. Let’s first see how this year’s competition goes!
Tips & tricks
Isn’t one of the biggest resolutions people make at the beginning of a new year that they want to lose weight? I have never made the resolution, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to lose weight. This is why this week I want to point you to Julie’s new site: Food, Fitness and Health. She has big plans for the site, so keep an eye on it to see when and how you can join in!
If you read Mrs. Fever’s blog, Temperature Rising, please hop over and read So… I feel a little weird about doing this, but here goes because she needs your feedback.
