It’s Zumio Time: Reviewing the Zumio X and the Zumio S

I was approached by Zumio to do a review of their products, and where I thought I would receive only one of their toys, I received both. This came as a very pleasant surprise and gave me the opportunity to compare the two toys to each other. If you are interested in buying a Zumio, I hope this review will help you to make an informed choice whether you want the Zumio X or the Zumio S.

Packaging & Contents & Shape ‘n Size & Material

Both toys are packed in a rectangular shaped box with a picture of the toy on the front. Inside the box is the actual box which holds the toy. It was quite a battle to get the inner box out of the outer box, as it really is a tight fit, but once I discovered I should push it at the bottom to get the inner box out, it was easier. It took me a couple of minutes to find a way though, but this might just be me!

Opening the box reveals the toy. There is a white holder for the toy — a kind of ‘cup’ — and the toy has a protective cap. The Zumios are shaped like a thick pen, with a stylus at the end. The buttons of each toy is on top of the toys, one in the form of an an infinity sign, the other an ‘O’.

The toys are made from silky, medical grade silicone and ABS plastics free from phthalates, latex and BPA. They are fully waterproof and whisper quiet. Remember to use water-based lube and not silicon lube!

Both Zumios are about 18 centimeters long and 2.5 centimeters in diameter. The Zumio X is dark purple, and the Zumio S is light purple. Each box also contains a toy pouch and a USB charger cable.

How does it work?

Before you can use the toy for the first time, you have to charge it. The ‘cup’ part of the toy is the holder in which you charge the Zumio. Plug the USB cable into the base of the ‘cup’, put the Zumio in the holder and the light starts blinking. Once the toy is fully charged, the blinking stops.

The ‘O’ button on the toy is the on/off switch. Hold it in for 1-2 seconds and the tip of the stylus starts to move in circles. If you crave intense vibrations, the Zumio X is for you, and if you’re not sure, then you should go for the Zumio S. The stylus is pressure sensitive, which means if you apply more pressure, the stimulation is deeper and less intense. Use the ‘infinity sign’ button to go through the eight different speeds of the toy, and use that stylus on any place on your body, wherever you want. Seriously, this is not only a toy for women, but literally for everyone!

My experience with & opinion of the product

I tend to use a toy right out of the box, since there’s always a bit of power left in it when it’s unpacked. This was true for the Zumio S, but not for the Zumio X. I had to charge that one first before I could use it. Once it had enough charge in it, I was ready to try both toys, as I wanted to compare them.

I switched on the Zumio X (dark purple, longer stylus) and immediately noticed that the sound was a bit too much, until I pushed the tip of the stylus against my hand. That quieted the toy to a level where I can use it, even if our daughter is in the room next to me. I liked the vibrations on my hand, but of course wanted to test them on other parts of my body too. Before I did that, I switched on the Zumio S (light purple, shorter stylus) and this one was a lot quieter than the other. I noticed that the tip of the stylus is a bit thicker too.

The two beautiful and exciting Zumio toys.

Both toys felt lovely on my nipples, but I was curious to know how it felt on my clit. I mean, I am one who need clitoral stimulation to orgasm, so that would probably be where I primarily will use these toys.

Now, once I put the tip of the Zumio X – the more intense toy – against my clit, I pulled it away again. It sort of ‘tickled’ me, but not in a good way. I put it aside and reached for the Zumio S. This time it was GOOD. It didn’t feel like tickling, but was a good kind of stimulation, and I think it has something to do with the thickness of the stylus. I need like the pin-point stimulation, but it shouldn’t be too pin-pointed, if that makes sense? Normally I think the more the better, yes, also when I talk about stimulation, but it seems in this case too intense is just not my thing.

To be honest, I think the Zumio S is the toy that will go in my drawer with toys I reach for when I ‘need a moment’, as I really love its stimulation. If you crave more intense stimulation, you should definitely go for the Zumio X.
