When Hot Octopuss contacted me and asked for support for their #ShowStigmaTheFinger campaign, I knew I wanted to join in, but I didn’t know how. It was only when I read posts by others that an idea came to me: I would share those posts. But, before I do, let me tell you more about what’s behind this campaign. Hot Octopuss wanted to run some ads for their DiGiT finger vibe but it got banned because it was deemed as inappropriate. The six beautiful women in the ad stuck their middle fingers up to stigmas and stereotypes around sex they’ve faced in their lives. To support this campaign, Hot Octopuss asked to join in showing stigma the finger.
Part of why I didn’t know how to join the campaign was because I couldn’t think of one way I was stigmatized… until I really thought about it. What about those people who look down on me for being kinky? Or the ones giving me ‘the look’ because I wear net tights? Or the ones who assume I am a bad person because I write about sex? Or those that see my overweight and think I can’t control my eating? Or those thinking I’m a slut because I am in my third marriage? Or back when I fell pregnant with my daughter, I was stigmatized by… the church? People see things on the outside, and they think they know you; they put a label on you and figuratively push you aside. Why can’t people just first get to know you instead of making a judgment on what they think they know?
Once I started thinking about the ways I have been stigmatized, the thoughts keep on flooding in, and even then I knew what I have experienced is in no way as bad as many others have suffered, and are still suffering. We need to speak up, and #ShowStigmaTheFinger and that’s why I am sharing the image above, as well as the following posts:

I totally drowned in the words of Floss this week, in her piece of erotica called Wild Kitten. It’s so damn sexy and definitely had me squirming in the most delicious way!
My eyes filled with tears as I read I haven’t written in 72 days by Hyacinth Jones and then through my tears I smiled as I read on. This is a poignant piece filled with hurt and hope, shared from the life of a beautiful woman.
Life and Death, a chilling piece of writing by Cara Thereon. It made me think how we sometimes carelessly go about our lives, not thinking how every time we make stupid choices, it make us die a little bit inside.
- Drop the Towel by Jack — Stunning image of Jack, where you absolutely want him to drop the towel!
- Admiration by Pink Space Lime — I love the use of mirrors in images, and this is just the perfect way to use it.
- Sometimes by Molly Moore — I absolutely love the dramatic image Molly has shared here, but it’s her words that really touched me.
- Sunrise by Maria S. Merian — This is a gorgeous view of a stunning woman!
- He Likes The Girls by Posy Churchgate — Where there are two gorgeous images of Posy’s girls in this post, the sweet and sexy conversation just made this post even more special.

Every week someone else in the community does the top 3 roundup for Wicked Wednesday. Sometimes it’s me, but mostly it’s someone else. I love to engage others to do it, because I want Wicked Wednesday to be for everyone. Are you interested in doing the roundup (again)? Just get in contact with me!
Prompt 387 for Wicked Wednesday was ‘Out of Character’ for which 27 posts were linked. The top 3 was done by The Other Livvy and she chose:
Oh gosh, I can’t believe we are into the FINAL round of the Smut Marathon 2019. Isn’t it incredible? We are at the end of the second year of the marathon, and I am already planning the 2020 editions. But, that’s something for a next edition. Last week the results of the semi-finals were announced, and sadly we had to say goodbye to five brilliant writers.
Only 8 writers went through to the final round. The finalists are: bluesubmission, Carolyna Luna, Cousin Pons, Jack Stratton, Jennie Talia, Hyacinth Jones, Marsha Adams and Zebra Rose. Who of them will be the winner of the Smut Marathon 2019?
