Book & Pride #SoSS #94

You, you wrote the book on love
And I wanna read every word
So I know everything about you
Oh you, you wrote the book on love
Girl I just can’t get enough of your love
I know you wrote the book on love
Lyrics from You Wrote the Book on Love by Backstreet Boys

I don’t think I am the only sex blogger who write erotic fiction and hope that one day I will be the writer of a bestseller, which will earn me a lot of money. We all should dream, right? But, while I dream and while I don’t have that brilliant idea for the bestseller, I have been working on another book — the first in which will become a series — and I was so proud this week to finally present the book to the world. There’s more about it further on in this post, and there’s a link there that will lead you to more information about the book.

Let me just say this: writers work incredibly hard to get their stories out there, and not many of them manage to make a living from what they have written. There are far more writers out there than there are bestsellers. Also, a book is only a bestseller until the next one comes around (personal opinion). I guess what I am trying to say, or rather, trying to ask, is to support the writers. Not only those writers who has a book out in a (online) store, but also those who posts stories on their blogs. Show them your support by reading and commenting. Make them feel loved.

All of that just comes from the fact that I am SO proud to have the book out, and can’t wait to start working on the next…

For now, my picks of this week!

Sexy writing

Cousin Pons has a unique style of writing, which you can see in his story, The Link. I love when he writes, and always sit here reading it from beginning to end, almost without breathing.

Submissy has blown me away with a beautiful piece of writing for Wicked Wednesday: Within my second skin. Her love is so strong and pure, and reading these words, instantly made me think of my own relationship.

I love how fighting fit Kurvy Kinkster sounds in her post, This Is My Fight Song. Sometimes we just need a bit of encouragement to open our eyes and see the world around us, and realize we want to get on for the ride. I love the positivity and fighting spirit in this post.

I wish His Lordship would write more fiction, because he’s damn good at it. I love his writing style, and once I started reading Two Songs For Emily I couldn’t stop.

When Floss writes, she writes. Dirty Love is short and hot and just so incredibly sexy. Just wow!

Hot images

There are three photo memes I check every week to look for sexy images to share here: Sinful Sunday, Boobday and the newest, Lingerie Is For Everyone.

Smut Marathon

I was delighted this week to finally announce the publication date for the 2018 Smut Marathon anthology. It’s called Enigma Variations: A 2018 Smut Marathon Guide to Erotic Writing and the digital version is now available on pre-order. The printed version will be available on 1 October 2019!

Tips & tricks

Have you seen your September Kink Horoscopes written by Violet Fawkes. Somehow I have the feeling she had been looking over my shoulder when I read the Pisces horoscope. Go read yours now and see how you can get your horoscope for October and all months after that.

On 28 September (the day I travel to London again, but that aside) the third Smutathon will happen (not to be confused with the Smut Marathon). It will be hosted and sponsored by Bellesa, but The Other Livvy tells you a lot more in her post Smuthathon 2019. You can get involved too!

This day in past years

Sharing posts from the seventh of September in the past years of my blog:

2011: Destination
I re-read this post, which is a sort of poem I dedicated to Master T, and I just love reading my words back then and knowing my love for him is even deeper than it was back then. Every day I love him more.

2012: Used 2
A post about a beautiful evening with Master T, where he used me in every way he wanted.

2014: Half and Half
Showing off my completed tattoo for Sinful Sunday.

2016: True Blood
A post by Skelly, the Skeleton Man, about blood on my bottom.

2017: Mystery Vibe: Crescendo
A product review.

2018: La Vie Est Belle
I love to watch people, and this post is about that, and how beautiful life is.

  1. I have not had much time for blog reading but I really enjoyed seeing a couple photos here that I hadn’t seen yet. Annie’s especially. Thanks for all you do!

  2. I’m looking forward to ordering a copy of the book when the time comes. And thank you so much Marie for the saying those lovely things about my writing. It makes me tingle!

  3. So exciting re your book. Congratulations as that is a real achievement. Thank you so much for the kind words about my post. There are some great links here and I am delighted to be included amongst them ❤️

  4. Fabulous round-up Marie, and wonderful news about your Smut Marathon publication.
You’re right it is very important for us all to read each other’s work and reach out with comments and encouragement. A book or story with no readers is just a bunch of words – that’s why these #SoSS posts are so very important too. Thanks for sharing & of course for the meme you host.
