Let There Be Light

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each one of us has cause to think deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.
~ Albert Schweitzer

When I found the above quote, I immediately knew I wanted to use it for this post, the last Sinful Sunday of 2018 and the penultimate day of this year. I have reflected on this year and I know I have gone through deep valleys, but I have climbed those rocks to get out of it, and get stronger again. I am still working on that, and know I will het stronger. I couldn’t have done it without your support, without the kind words throughout the year. No matter how black my mood was, there were always people who acted as the sparks to rekindle my light. I am thankful for that.

The quote totally fitted my post, but I wanted to know who said it, so I searched. When I saw who said it – Albert Schweitzer – I knew the quote was even more fitting. That’s the name of the hospital where my mom had been treated for a cancer, where I have spent many many hours with her. It made me feel like this quote was just waiting for me to use it.

Yellow candle and a nipple
I feel a deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within me.
