Breaking Down & Building Up #SoSS #26

random access memoryAs I start to type this, there is hammering going on above my head as Master T is breaking down what has been our closet for about 13 or 14 years. Just before he started with that, he had disassembled a dressing table and a dresser. Everything, and I really mean, everything in our room will be gone by Sunday. Oh, wait, except for our bed. We need that until Wednesday night. This week we are breaking down everything in our bedroom and next week we will start to build up. New walls, new carpeting and brand new furniture. Furniture that fit together and not the haphazard combinations we had for the last 14 years.

Sometimes you have to break things down before you can start to build them up. Two weeks ago I broke down. I am to a point where I cannot see things clearly anymore. I forget things, am disorganized, and feel like I am walking on a thin line and about to fall off. The doc said my ‘random access memory’ is too full and that I need to make room again to function properly. That will start on Wednesday, when I have an intake with a psychologist. Some things will have to be broken down before I can start building up again.

More about this in future posts. For now, I want to share some posts with you that touched me in some or other way in the past week.

Sexy writing

I love a voyeuristic story, such as Wide Open by Ina Morata. The way she used the symbolism of closed and opened curtains to show how they opened towards each other is lovely!

Stories that have a futuristic feel and where there are some kind of inequality between sexes seem to turn me on (don’t shoot me!), like A Dystopia We Deserve written by Ella Scandal.

Each and everyone who is part of the sex blogging community should be proud of themselves, because you rock. Just read what Mrs. Fever said in her post, This {Sex Blogging} Thing We Do. You, everyone of you, are special!

Submissy writes a beautiful post, Going Deeper, about her submission and what it means to her, what it means to be submissive or to be a submissive.

We are not only the sex and kink we write about, but we are more than that. We are what we feel, what we do and ALL of what we share of ourselves. Bibulous One has said it a lot better than I can in his post Kink, Family, Food, Friends.

Hot images

Last week was prompt week on Sinful Sunday and I was amazed at the creativity of all the participants. We had to spin two wheels and create an image combining the two prompts we got. I want to highlight three of the images that were shared for Sinful Sunday last week:

There’s another photography meme that you can participate in (and I should definitely do so again too!) and that is Boobday. Every Friday, this meme is all about boobs!

Prompts are a great way to inspire you to a new post, whether they have prompts or not. These are the ones currently running:

Last week Sunday the results for the fourth round of the Smut Marathon 2018 have been announced. Only 30 writers could go through to round 5, so we had to say goodbye to some authors. At this moment the writers are working on the fifth assignment. The next voting round opens on 3 June 2018.

Did you know that many people blog about the Smut Marathon and share there links? Hop over and read about their experiences.

Tips & tricks

All writers, challenge yourself every day to write a 12-word story. Yes, not 11, not 13 but exactly 12. Molly and Wriggly Kitty has started this new meme on Twitter: #Storyin12. Come on, join in every day, once a week or whenever you feel you want to!

I think this post, Finding Success with Goal Setting by Kayla Lords, doesn’t only work for those of us who want to be paid for our work, but setting goals can work in any area of our lives.

Last but not least

I have shared a post of Mrs. Fever today, and I want to invite all people who are curious about participating in memes to just go ahead and do so. You will be welcomed with open arms, not only by me on Wicked Wednesday, but also by Kayla Lords who runs Masturbation Monday and Molly Moore who runs Kink of the week and Sinful Sunday. You can find the current prompts in the table above. Come on, join in!
