I have been shadowbanned from Twitter from early this week and at the time of writing this post (last night), the status was still the same. This is not the first time, but where the first time was only for three days, this time it’s taking longer for them to ‘un-shadowban’ me.
I have to admit that I have been waiting for this. I knew it would happen at some time, but still didn’t change my ways to prevent it from happening. You see, I truly believe sharing links has something to do with it. Not only that, but a combination of sharing links and little chit-chat on Twitter. I haven’t been on Twitter much to talk to people, due to being under the weather, but I kept on sharing links. But, I now have a new strategy, where I am still sharing links, but differently.
- New posts on my blog always go live at 6am and the link is automatically shared to Twitter, including the featured image. Then I share that same blog posts four more times in the 24 hours that follows: at 9am, 3pm, 9pm and 3am. I have now changed that. It still goes live at 6am and tweets to Twitter, but I only share it twice after that, once at noon and once at 9pm.
- I share the prompt for Wicked Wednesday 4 times in 24 hours from the moment it goes live until the day the prompt closes. That will be reduced to twice every 24 hours.
- Every post that is linked for Wicked Wednesday was shared by me on Friday evening, starting at 9pm and posting a link every 5 minutes. I now start to share on Wednesday and leave two hours between links.
- I have noticed that my tumblr doesn’t link to Twitter anymore, but I have decided to leave it like that, as those links just might have been a problem too. Please check my tumblr for the sexy image I share!
I hope this helps, in combination with me being on Twitter more to just chat to people. I am not really worried about being shadowbanned, but of course I don’t want to be shadowbanned forever!
Sharing posts for #SoSS has started because of the shadowbanning by Twitter, so please, if you haven’t yet, please start sharing links from your favorite reads. There is no way we will be silenced!
Here’s my favorites for this past week…
If you want to read a story where your curiosity is sparked in the first few paragraphs but it then takes you to feeling some sort of disgust, then you should read HisLordshipUK’s story, Feet that be swift in running to mischief.
An Evening Out can be just that but it can also turn into something you don’t want, as we can see in Violet’s story. This can be a snippet from real life.
Lyra’s Story is a guest post on Bibulous One’s blog, where Lyra tells about visiting a professional Dom. BO’s note in the beginning is that he worries for her safety and reading Lyra’s words, I worried too. However, at the end she says it is safe, as she has known this man for years, but how safe is she really?
How many of us don’t have those moments that we feel the same way as Cara does, like she describes in her post, Hey, Jealousy? I know I’ve definitely had moments like this and will have more of them in future.
Tabitha has put a very brave post out there, in which she explains: Orgasms save me from myself. You have to read this for yourself, but please note that there is a trigger warning on the post as it’s about mental health, body dysmorphia, demons.
Do you know that Missy changes the jewelry on her nipple piercing every Saturday? Just hop over to her site and look at her SJC series. I just love seeing this every Saturday!
One very strong image that was shared for Sinful Sunday last week is Stuffed by Kinky and Perky. I found myself looking at the image for minutes and even though I had read his words, I wondered how many different stories one would get if you gave the image as a prompt.
Honey totally blew me away with her post, Naked Confidence. The combination of words and image is incredibly strong and touching, sexy and confident.
Prompts are a great way to inspire you to a new post, whether they have prompts or not. These are the ones currently running:
|Meme||Prompt||Date(s) to link|
|Masturbation Monday||Week 191 (Elliott Henry)||27 April to 1 May 2018|
|Wicked Wednesday||Prompt #309: Conviction||28 April to 3 May 2018|
|Food for Thought Friday||F4TF #45 – That’s So Inappropriate…||27 April to 3 May 2018|
|Sinful Sunday||Wheel of Photography||6 May 2018|
|Kink of the week||Doggy style||16 to 30 April 2018|
|ArtTwist||ArtTwist #6 – Jean-Leon Gerome||21 April to 10 May 2018|
|Elust #106||Elust submissions||1 to 8 May 2018|
Prompt 308 for Wicked Wednesday was ‘Driving Lessons’ for which 19 posts were linked. The top 3 was done by Indigo Byrd and she chose:
- The Cone of Shame is Fun with Friends by Floss
- Pedicure by Alethea Hunt
- Reader Inspired by Elliott Henry
Today is the closing date for the fourth assignment of the Smut Marathon 2018. As from tomorrow until Saturday, 5 May 2018 at 11pm (CET – Amsterdam time) you can cast your votes, choosing the three stories you like best. The writers are working really hard to submit perfectly sexy stories and need every vote they can get, as only 30 writers can continue to the fifth round. Come on, please vote and if you have a bit of time, also leave some feedback on the stories, if only for those that got your vote.

When should you use a dofollow link and when a nofollow link? What even IS a dofollow or nofollow link? Taryn has written SEO for Sex Bloggers: The Definitive Guide to Linking to answer these questions.
Some very good advice from the chief Smutlancer, Kayla Lords: Set some goals, achieve them, inch by inch, and from time to time, look back to see how far you’ve come.

Last but not least
I have been thinking about this for a very long time, but have finally decided to do it. I work hard to maintain this blog, Wicked Wednesday and The Smut Marathon site and if you enjoy one or all of those sites, it would be lovely if you would be so kind to consider buying me a coffee. Thank you!

The A to Z Blogging Challenge
The Letter Y
In this fifth year of participating in the A to Z Blogging Challenge, I am taking words from my regular post starting with the letter of the day, and looking at the meaning of those words. Today is for words starting with ‘Y’ and I have chosen to look at ‘year’, ‘yet’ & ‘you(r)’.
A year is the time it takes the earth to go around the sun once. We start counting on 1 January and end on 31 December, 36^5 days later, except when it’s a leap year, then it has 366 days.
Up until the moment or a specified time or from now into the future for a specified length of time. It also means ‘still’ or ‘even’ like in the sentence: They are expecting yet more rain.
You is used to refer to the person or people one is talking to, and your is the possessive form of you, like in ‘your clothing’ or ‘your car’.
