Stepping Stones

I believe that everything we do, is a stepping stone to something bigger. Sometimes those stepping stones are not noticed as such, but even so they help to bring us closer to our goals, to different milestones in our lives.

The prompt for this week’s Wicked Wednesday is milestones and I have two of those I want to share with you.

A to Z Blogging Challenge

In the past four weeks I have bombarded you with posts. Thank you all of being patient while I worked through the alphabet, posting for the A to Z Blogging Challenge 2016.

On this blog I have shared before that I have a strict planning for my posts. The first year I did the A-Z Challenge I had no idea what the subject would be, but the second year I was prepared and had most of my posts done long before they had to be posted. This year was the same. I have no idea when I decided on the subject, but I discovered it in my Excel file about two weeks before the challenge started. I started writing and after four days all posts were done and scheduled to be posted. During the month of April, I had an idea for next year’s A-Z Blogging Challenge, but I think like this year, I will only start writing about two weeks before the challenge start in 2017.

I’m proud of completing the challenge for a third year and if I can go by the comments I received on my posts, people enjoyed the subject I chose. This feels good!

The passengers of Flight LU-365 are all at different points on life’s journey through love and lust when fate makes their paths cross and end in the desert of a quiet African country. The young couple, passionate and excited; the elderly pair, proving that love endures; the lesbian couple with their secret ready to share; a group of friends escaping for adventures in lust; the porn star, taking a break from her successful career; the married woman, confused and hurt from an affair; the young student hiding her hurt and more.

They were more than the seat numbers they were in. They were people with different lives and desires and only one thing connect them: they happened to be on the same plane.

Read about their love, lust and lives in this remarkable and moving epos, with strong and beautiful erotic scenes.

I am incredibly proud of this. I’ve been published in several anthologies, but the blurb above is of my debut erotic novel. I’ve always had this as a goal, to see a book with ONLY my name on it. This is the dream of every writer. It has been quite a process to get to the point where I held my book in my hands.

It’s beautiful.

It smells of new paper and ink.

I cannot describe the feelings that went through me, knowing that I held the product of one-and-a-half years of work in my hands.

Hard work.

It’s a life event.

A milestone.

I’m proud!

  5. I’m SO THRILLED for you, Marie. Your diligence is apparent in all that you do. Thank you for being such a great example. Milestones well-earned! Congratulations.

  6. You should be proud of your achievements for both. I found posting every day during the blogging A-Z challenge fun, but also a little bit of a stress – what would I write about, was I repeating myself, could I actually think of anything….. But to have a book published, that is just amazing and sometime I aspire to. Have you had aspire or aspiration as a prompt?

  7. You deserve every moment that you glow with that wonderful proud feeling. I know how much this has meant to you and I am so glad that it is now published!!!!
