Simple Pleasures

It’s Sunday evening and we are just home from a lovely weekend away.

I had tears in my eyes when we left the place that we called ‘home’ this weekend. Everything was just perfect. The house, the beautiful nature around it and the weather.

But most of all, the company.

We shared the house with a beautiful couple.

I met her almost three years ago and from that very first moment, there was a connection. She’s sweet and lovely and sexy and imagine my surprise and excitement when I learned that she was interested in me too. This weekend was in the making for a long time and the waiting was well worth it. We had a lovely time and everything between her and me felt natural and almost ‘meant to be’.

Four people with very mixed feelings left the location this afternoon. All of us had a lovely weekend and were so very happy because of it, but all of us were sad to leave and go back to the rat race. We will have lovely weekends like this again!

Normally, when we go away for a weekend, I have all posts in place, including my Sinful Sunday.

This time I didn’t.

On Saturday we went out for a ‘photo shoot’ to a location I have been dreaming about for YEARS!
(More will follow on this…)

It was during our ‘photo shoot’ that I asked Master T to make these images.

To me one of the simple pleasures of life is to be able to be myself, to be who I am, not to worry about how I talk, what I look like… or anything else. This weekend I was able to do just that.

The images shows our hands – that of me and the lovely lady with whom I hope to spend many more of the beautiful moments we have shared this weekend.

These images might not be exciting or sexy, but to me these images are symbol to the past weekend and the simple pleasure of life to be who you are and feel confident about it.

  3. Marie, it sounds like you had an amazing time. I’m so happy for you! And these pictures are gorgeous. There’s a real intimacy to them and I love the contrast of your respective nail polish colours against the green. Jane xxx

And that is one of the simplest pleasures, to be able to be yourself and to be confident about it.
