Feeling Blue

I’ve been going through a difficult time since August last year. Actually it’s been going on for longer than that, but it escalated in August last year and it escalated even more in September. Remember the fall I had back in September? Looking back on it, it might have been the result of my feeling blue, on the verge of depression. The ‘feeling blue’ continued and still continues. I’m working on it but seeing one of your kids suffering is hard on a parent. It is on this parent, and even though he is getting the care he needs, I still worry. But, it has it’s effect on my body. A probable ulcer, not sleeping well, eating too much…

Our date nights and our hotel stays mean so much more to me at this moment, as those are the times I can let go and I don’t have to think. This was one of those moments…

  1. This is a gorgeous photo. The colors, the rope, your tattoo, your hair, are electric. I’m sorry to hear you’re having a rough time. I hope the blue will be replaced by a warmer color soon.

  2. As someone who suffers from depression, I understand your feelings and know how difficult it can be when a loved one is unwell. We’re sending love and good thoughts during a difficult time.

All of that said, this is such a gorgeous image. The bright blue of the rope is very eye-catching, though nowhere near as beautiful as your bare skin, gorgeous curves and that lovely auburn hair. Absolutely stunning.

  3. There’s nothing like bondage to center you inside of your body and sensations and let you forget everything else.

  4. Bright beautiful blue pops with your red hair and against your skin.
I can relate to having a child that needs a bit more TLC than other children. I can also relate to your stress. Please remember there is never anything wrong with taking time out for yourself (without or with hubby). You must take care of yourself (mentally) which ever way (positive and constructive) works to relieve those blues. I will tell you that my child will be turning 30 and has come so far, married, job and settled down. I thought he would be die before 23. It does get better, it will get better. Hugs, love and support for you.

  5. Feeling blue is a living hell, I’ve been at that rock bottom place. It is important to break away sometimes and focus on you or better still nothing at all, although switching off is nigh on impossible!

Stunning colour ropes, by the way, that sort of feeling blue is a much more preferable feeling.

I really hope things improve xxx

  6. Many hugs to you dear. As a father, I empathize. It hurts deeply when our kids hurt.
I love the color mixture with the blue rope, the lovely tattoo and gorgeous hair.

  7. As someone else who has had issues going on, I know how hard it can be to be open during times of being down.
Applause! You are getting through it!

  8. *gentle hugs* Those low times are tiring, aren’t they? I am glad you were able to get some exciting and enjoyable time away.

    xx Dee

  9. So many of us seem to be having difficulties in one way or another at the moment and it does affect us in so many ways.

I think there has been a man there in the background helping to keep you on the straight and narrow without getting in the way in the same way mine has for me. Thank god for the rock that is our men keeping us strong.

Lovely image and I love the bright blue of the rope!

  12. This is a really beautiful photograph and I love the blue against your skin. I am sorry you are having a hard time at the moment – you are welcoming and warm to everyone on social media and take so much time to make thoughtful comments, even to newbies like me that the outside world would never know you are having a hard time. I hope things improve for you and your son soon. Xxx

  13. Hi Rebel, I’m sorry to read that you’re feeling blue. and I’m glad to read that by times you’re still able to float away from all the worries when you’re together during a little trip. All I can say is: treasure those moments and use them to the full extent to re-energize yourself. I wish you all the strength and power you need. Big hug from kinquie.

  14. Orange and blue, hm. While orange and blue are not perfect opposites on the color wheel, I’ve always considered them so. I’ve always loved that the term for opposite color is complimentary color. One color is there to show the other color in its best light by contrast. So what I am saying is, Your Orange is Brilliant!

  15. And blue rope! It’s a vibrant shade and I hope you took the color blue and turned the symbolic meaning to something glorious and memorable.
Sorry to hear about the hard times and I quite understand.

  16. I’m sorry you are having a tough time Rebel.

That’s a great photo, the blue is gorgeous against your skin and your hair is amazing.

I hope you feel better and life improves very soon.
