Truth, An Eroticon Anthology

Truth, An Eroticon Anthology

Like they say, better late than never, right?

I have been wanting two write about the Eroticon anthology ever since Eroticon happened in March, and here were are, two months later and only now I had the time to sit down and do it.

The submission call for the Eroticon anthology was posted on 11 September 2017:

The theme of this year’s anthology is ‘truth’ – this could be anything from the ways in which you use truth in your writing, to stories based on truth and lies, or erotica that intertwines personal truths with fiction. We’re looking for short fiction and non-fiction erotic stories, personal essays, poetry and illustrations.

At first I had no idea what I would write about, but since #metoo was and still is a thing, and I thought this anthology will have more stories like that, I wrote about something that happened back in the time when I was a young uni student. I cannot tell you my surprise when it was not accepted. It was explained that the 2018 anthology had a total different feel – a lighter tone – and my story didn’t fit it. However, Anna Sky really wanted everyone who submitted to be in the book so I was given an extension of 10 days to write something else, if I wanted.

Of course I wanted to do it, but I was momentarily flabbergasted as to what to write. After chatting about it with Anna, I followed a suggestion of hers: I wrote about how I co-ordinate my different websites and engage in the community. The piece flowed from my fingers, because I wrote something I am very passionate about. However, by the time I was done, I was not happy with it. It felt so strange to send in something where I talk about how I do it, as if I am blowing my own horn.

I needn’t have worried: my piece was instantly accepted.

Truth, An Eroticon AnthologyThis is a short excerpt to my piece in the Truth anthology:

The driving force behind my blogs is not actually the being focused and organized, but passion. I am passionate about what I do, passionate about helping people, passionate about my writing and sharing with the world out there. Without this passion I would not have been able to have any focus, let alone be organized.

There are so many other great stories in this anthology by some fabulous authors. Believe me, you will enjoy every word in this book.

Truth can be bought from Amazon UK or Amazon US as either a paperback book or for your Kindle.

PS: The story I originally wrote for the anthology will be published sometime in future.
