Rebel’s Year In Review (Jan – Jun 2015)

RNYearInReviewLast year I did my ‘Year in Review‘ for the first time and this year I did the same. I started keeping track of posts back in January 2015 and at the end of every month I made sure that I have properly documented everything I wanted on here. The only difference with last year is that per month I have not one, but three favorite posts of other bloggers.

I hope you enjoy this trip down my (and probably your) memory lane.

The first six months…

January

Favorite posts of fellow bloggers:

  1. Every Girl Needs a Title (Announcement of Savannah: Book One Title) by Stranded in Toronto – I am so incredibly happy for this man, that his wonderful series Savannah is turning into books. Real books! He deserves to get this story out there!
  2. We’re on a break by Hyacinth – a post that started off two weeks of posts that touched my heart, each and every one of them, and made me feel like I want to hug her and hold her for hours when her relationship with The Neighbour ended. Her posts were heartbreaking, but written by a very strong woman.
  3. Blood Lust by Oleander Plume – a story that really chilled my blood and excited me enormously, even though I am not a reader (or fan) of M/M erotica.

Favorite post of myself: Alice’s Wonderland
I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges that the meme A Darker Flame has set me, and it helped me a lot to think and write out of the box.

My favorite photo of myself: Happy 2015
Everything in this photo is just right. It’s simple, yet striking. They eye of the master, as this is Master T’s handiwork.

My favorite photo of my 365ProjectDay 13: Lonely Leaves
During a walk in the woods these two leaves caught my attention, bronze against the darker background of the tree.

Achievements in this month:

  • Signed a contract for inclusion in a new anthology: Tie Me Up
  • Bow Grip mentioned in Molly’s top 5 for Sinful Sunday 197.

February

Favorite posts of fellow bloggers:

  1. The Fall by Chintz Curtain, a piece of writing full of beautiful, tender and raw emotions.
  2. Stranded interview with Savannah – it’s no secret anymore that I am a huge fan of Stranded’s writing. The way he did this interview is, in my opinion, absolutely brilliant!
  3. Caned for charity by Pandora Blake – I am a wimp when it comes to the cane, but I absolutely love marks, whether on myself or others. If I would ever be as brave as Pandora and her friend were? No, I don’t think so, but I love this post.

Favorite post of myselfSign Language
My tattoo will always be incredibly special to me, for all that it stands for.

My favorite photo of myselfOozing
Not only the photo is hot, but it also brought back so many fond memories of a time in my life where I was discovering much more about my sexual self than I had ever before. And, Master T was already part of my life back then!

My favorite photo of my 365Project: Day 51: Setting
I love this place where we spent an entire weekend, even though I have mixed feelings when I think back on all that happened that weekend.

March

Favorite posts of fellow bloggers:

  1. BDSM, Consumerism and The Care of Self by Remittance Girl – a post that deals with FSOG and the fact that some people think it’s sexy to follow the line of the book. Read this, share this and as Remittance Girl said take this to heart and give it some good consideration.
  2. On Corsets by Malin James – her love for corsets radiates from this post and one thing I really liked is how wearing a corset gave her confidence. It made me want to try and wear corsets again.
  3. Coming pretty by Happy Come Lucky – this idea of Honey, to write on panties, is so incredibly sexy and the first photo in this post is finger-licking good!

Favorite post of myself: Nothing Else Matters
I’ve said it many times and I might say it many times more: Master T is the love of my life!

My favorite photo of myself: Supreme Ruler
Master T has an incredible eye for detail, and this photo is yet again proof of that.

My favorite photo of my 365Project: Day 61: Chicken!
The stunning detail in this photo draws me in every time I see it.

April

Favorite posts of fellow bloggers:

  1. Burning Pages by Oleander Plume – this is one of the bravest posts I have read in a long time. It brought tears to my eyes.
  2. C is for Comments by Sassy Cat – what Cat says over here is so true! We as bloggers work hard on our posts and we want comments. I don’t get comments on all my posts, and sometimes posts I think I would get comments on, get none at all. But still, I appreciate every comment I get, and so does Cat and every other blogger.
  3. Top 10 Signs He’s an Asshole, Not a Dominant by Kayla Lords – any submissive woman considering starting a D/s relationship with a male dominant should read this post!

Favorite post of myself: E is for Easter
We had so much fun making these photos, and then again so much fun seeing the photos afterwards. These chicks are just adorable and really seem to have facial expressions!

My favorite photo of myself: C is for Cinnamon
This is the most I have shown of my face on my blog up to now and who knows, I might be brave enough in future to share even more.

My favorite photo of my 365Project: Day 114: Cloudy skies
I am incredibly proud of this photo, showing on of the icons in our favorite city.

Favorite posts of fellow bloggers:

  1. Shift by Oleander Plume – there is something about reading about vampires, werewolves and in this case, shifters, that really turn me on. It mesmerizes me!
  2. #melodrama by Understanding Flutterby – this woman has a wonderful way with words and a very distinctive way of writing. This post is so full of feeling and emotions that it touched me deeply.
  3. Misused Petals by Me and Sara Green – I’m a sucker for stories with unexpected endings!

Favorite post of myself: “when to start calling him master bdsm”
I don’t give a lot of advice on BDSM, but hope that when I write posts like this one, it helps at least one person who read it.

My favorite photo of myself: Public Landscaping
I just love the fun we had with the pubic hair I had to let go back, since I couldn’t shave myself due to an injury.

My favorite photo of my 365Project: Day 131: Sparrow
Taking photos of birds is not easy. I was so proud when I managed to capture this beautiful bird.

  2. An absolutely great post and fabulous advise to all women is: Six Important Reasons Not To Fake An Orgasm by Sweet Woman, Dirty Mind
  3. Release by Illicit Thoughts – sometimes we just need to be made aware of the fact that others see us differently from how we see ourselves.

Favorite post of myself: Disabled Gentleman
For so long I wanted to tell this story, but never knew how to start. I guess now the times was just write to tell it.

My favorite photo of myself: Painfully Horny
This photo says so much more than what you can see.

My favorite photo of my 365Project: Day 155: A Watchful Eye
And the sparrow features again. It’s such a beauty!

This month I received two beautiful compliments when I did a post for a blogging reward I was nominated for:

  • Just know that you are an inspiration to myself and, I am certain, many other bloggers. (Kat)
  • You definitely inspire and challenge me, and I truly feel like I am a better writer and blogger because of your influence. (M of Cammies on the floor)

Last, but definitely not least, I want to wish all of you an incredibly happy and loving Christmas, whether you celebrate it or not. We will be having dinner together with all the kids and grandkids (god, I sound old) and that makes my Christmas a very happy one for me. I am not big on the Christmas tradition, but somehow I just want my kids together on this day. Enjoy, wherever you are!

  1. Wow – what a remarkable detailed and brilliant post. I set some time aside for wicked Wednesday reading this evening, but I’m going to have to set more time aside to follow all these links. Xx

  2. Thank you, Marie for including these three posts, especially Burning Pages. That was a tough one to write, and I’m always thrilled to hear it had a positive impact.

I hope your Christmas is as beautiful, warm and lovely as you are, dear lady!

    Love,
