The lovely couple Jack and Jill has nominated my blog for an award, the Real Neat Blog Award. Thank you, Jack and Jill, not only for the nomination, but also for the questions you have asked me to answer. While I am writing this, my mind will be making overtime on thinking who I will nominate for this award, as I have seen quite a lot of erotic bloggers who have been nominated by others recently.
Then, while I started working on the questions from Jack and Jill, I was alerted that I have also been nominated by Illicit thoughts. This brought me another set of questions, which I also look forward to answering. Thank you, Illicit Thoughts for the nomination!
Jack and Jill’s questions…
1. How would you categorize your blog? Or does it defy categorization?
When I started my blog it was meant only to put my erotic fiction on there, but after a stop of several months, I decided to make more of it. In the meantime, my blog has grown into a sex blog, where I don’t only share my erotic fiction, but also my personal experiences, mostly about our D/s relationship. I occasionally do a product review, a sponsored post or an informational post. And of course I share personal photos, whether in my posts or for memes such as Sinful Sunday.
2. What is the single greatest benefit that blogging provides you?
Oh dear, that’s a difficult question, because I benefit so much from blogging. Back when I started blogging, all I wanted was for people to read my stories and maybe sometimes comment on it. I have never thought that through my blog I would become part of one of the most special online communities: the sex blogging community. I feel proud to be part of it and to contribute to it. My blog has become the place where I can speak my mind and interact with other sexy people. I have even had the privilege to meet some of those lovely people in real life, and there’s a lot more I still want to meet.
3. Have you experienced any negativity as a direct result of blogging? If so, what is it and how did you overcome it?
I am happy to say that I never had any negative comments on my blog. Only once I had negativity as a direct result of blogging and that was when I accidentally saw a tweet about one of my stories. This person never talked to me about his feelings about the story and never left a comment on the story. I went entirely cold when I read the comments on Twitter. I didn’t know what to do. In the end I did nothing. Other bloggers were already addressing the issue and I just kept out of the situation, but it still bugged me for weeks after. Eventually I put things in perspective, realized I’ve been judged wrongly and I went back writing for me, as I did before.
4. Do you use a free blogging service such as WordPress or Blogger, or do you self-host? Why?
I started out on Blogger and then moved to WordPress, because I liked their themes better. Yep, I know, silly reason! I loved WordPress, but I wanted my own domain. I wanted a place that gave me new freedom. DomSigns really was a big help in this, as he let me play around with a self-hosted site so I could experience the possibilities. Then, in February 2012, I bought the domain and I never looked back. I love the freedom self-hosting gives me, in the way that I can do with my site what I want and no more threats from Blogger or WordPress to remove my site because of adult content.
5. Do you blog anonymously, or are your family and offline friends aware of your blog?
This is a yes and no answer. My close family know that I blog and they know the nature of what I write. My colleagues know it too. What I don’t tell them is my pseudonym, but I recently blogged that my mom discovered my pseudonym. I am fully aware that others discover it too, but I will deal with it if and when it happens. I am not ashamed of what I do. There’s one other person but Master T who knows all about: my best friend. She reads my blog, see my photos and knows my pseudonym.
6. How would you describe your writing process? Exactly how do you come up with subject matter and compose your posts?
I write. I edit. I publish or submit. I don’t really have a process I follow. I do my writing either in Scrivener or in Google Drive, depending on where I will be writing. Editing for blog posts is a lot less intensive than editing stories for submission calls. Subjects pop in my mind from all over: I can be at our regular hangout or in a traffic jam or out on a shopping trip. Inspiration is all over, if you just care to look.
7. What’s the last movie you watched?
Uhhhh… I am very bad with remembering names of movies, so I have no idea what the last one was, but four movies I have watched in the month or so has made an enormous impression on me. Those were Maleficent, Saving Mr. Banks, American Sniper and Interstellar.
Then, the questions from Illicit Thought…
1. How important a part does masturbation play in your life? Your relationship?
Masturbation used to be a big deal when I was alone, but it’s not as big a deal anymore. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I still love to masturbate and I still do it, but it has become one of the things that’s under Master T’s control. I love masturbating, but I definitely prefer to do it when he is with me, when he watches me and finally gets involved.
2. How confident are you in your sexual identity? Are you happy to divulge it here?
People who read my blog know that I identify as bisexual. I have always felt equally attracted to men and women, for as long as I can remember. I actually had my first sexual experience with a girl, when I was 10. After that I just hid those feelings away, from others and from myself, until I came out for it in my early twenties. Not to everyone, but certainly to myself. Bisexual is just a label to ‘explain’ to those who want to know that I like both men and women.
3. What is the sexual fantasy you MOST want to carry out in real life?
Being part of a gangbang. I really, really, really want it, but at the same time I am terrified of it actually happening. I’m afraid I might not be ‘good enough’ or might not be able to handle four, five, six men. Then at the same time I think I will be able to handle it and I know I will be good enough. After all, they will be there because they have chosen to be there. Eek! Just the thought of it gets me all hot and bothered and nervous…
4. What sexual fantasy would you NEVER do in real life?
I actually would love to act out all my fantasies but I am realistic enough to know that some fantasies will always be just that: fantasies.
5. If you could have a night of wild sex with anyone on the planet, who would you chose? Why?
I wanted to say ‘the gangbang’, but immediately dismissed that. No, if I choose a night of wild sex, it will always be with Master T. Why? Because he is the one who knows my body inside out, knows exactly what I like, where to touch, how to torture me, how to draw one orgasm after the other from my body. He’s the only one on this planet with whom I can be 100% myself.
6. Is there a price that you would have sex with a stranger? Indecent Proposal style.
As said earlier in this piece, I am really bad at remembering names of movies and when I do have the name, I cannot remember what it’s about. So I read about the plot and only one thing sprang to mind. I would have sex with a stranger if he could provide me enough money to never work for a boss again in my life.
7. Have you ever, or would you ever, have sex in front of other people? Or sex with more than one person at a time?
I’ve had sex in front of others before. I once was in a room with one man and five women. Us women had sex with each other and were watched by him. But I have also had sex with a man while Master T watched, or sex with another man while a friend watched. And sex with a lovely lady while our husbands watched us. And still, I am always nervous when I know I will be watched, until it starts… then the nerves are gone and I only enjoy.
These were two fun sets of questions. I know this is a longer post than I normally do, but I didn’t want to make two posts of this. If there’s anything above you want to know more about, please do not hesitate to ask. And, if by any chance I get to be nominated by others, I will answer those questions in another blog post.
Okay, now for my own nominations. I’ve seen quite a lot of these posts a month ago and quite a lot of bloggers who have already been nominated. I’m trying to nominate those who have not been nominated before and my list of nominations has some Dutch blogs too:
Your questions, if you care to accept the nomination:
1. Where do you get your inspiration for stories/photos to post on your blog?
2. How structured are you with your blog? Do you plan ahead, maybe using a calendar or other planning software?
3. Are you working on any sexy projects at this moment? Care to tell us about it?
4. Have you ever been published? If yes, tell us more about your book(s). If not, would you like to be published?
5. How active are you on social media? Where can people find you?
6. If you meet online people in real life, how do you present yourself?
7. Do you have any advise for aspirant writers/bloggers?
