While I looked through the list of locations during our dinner in the hotel, I was surprised to see ‘hotel’ listed as one of the locations. This one was so obvious, that we never thought about it on our previous stays in hotels. We have been in so many rooms that had great opportunities for a scavenger hunt notch, but the one we were in this night had a great spot too – the window sill.
Our window looked out over a fountain and a lawn and on the other side of it was this beautiful old building. We wanted to make a scavenger hunt photo at the fountain (another notch I need) but there were lights on in the top story of the building and while we were at the fountain, a guard patrolled the grounds of the lovely building. Only the next day we learned exactly what building it is. I was impressed, and I totally understood the security at the building. It would have been nice to get a scavenger photo there too, but I wasn’t going to risk that!
That evening, when we returned to our room, the lights in this building were still on. I even saw a guard walking his rounds again and shining his torch lights over the building and on the ground inside the gates. Security there was quite tight. Even though my foot was hurting like hell, we decided to make some photos. I got up onto the window sill and lay down on my back, carefully avoiding to put any weight on my right foot. I was happy that all I had to do was lie still while Master T shot the one photo after the other. I hope at least someone from the other windows saw the flash of the camera and wondered what was going on.
