On Sinful Sunday it’s all about the image.
About a month ago Mia over at Mia’s Musings posted her ‘caterpillar‘ photos. This post really spoke to me, as I too notice the ‘caterpillar parts’ on my body and just like Mia, I am learning more and more to accept my body just the way it is.
Following Mia’s example, here are my caterpillar photos,
showing me as a real woman… with curves!

I am sure you know I am passionate about truthful and honest photographs of bodies, both male and female I have decided, are both represented in the media in some sort of perfected notion of what humans look like and yet I don’t really see many people who look that way.
Posting images like this that show a beautiful, sensual, sexy real woman who is proud of her body and the joy it brings her and her partner is a wonderful thing.

I’m going to copy my exact comment that I made on Mia’s post just now:
I think that you are absolutely gorgeous. I hate how society makes us feel about our bodies. I look at you and know that your skin is smooth and your flesh is soft and it makes me want to touch you all over. And who wants to cuddle with those bones you see in magazines everywhere?? *shudder*
Besides, everyone knows that caterpillars are really butterflies in disguise!
Awww thanks luv! I have more or less accepted my body the way it is. I do have my bad days, when I wish I had a perfect body, but then again, the perfect body just does not exist. I once was a bag of bones, but somehow when I look at the photos of back then, I don’t like it. It’s better the way it is now.

These are beautiful photos. I like that I can think that and then realize that I look like you do, not all of the negative voices in my head. I’m so glad that people are expanding the commonly held views of what is sexy!

Oh, me too! Gone are the days when only the skinniest of skinny girls were the beautiful and hot ones. I am so happy that there are men and women out there who prefer to feel some flesh on the bones. And thankful that my Hubby prefers to see me with my curves than without them.
Your curves are lovely, but then nothing about you is less than beautiful. Master T is a very lucky man.

Life is way too short to be focused on maintaining whatever society is hung up on now, much of it is just so unrealistic. Much better to take care of oneself, be healthy and HAPPY!!

Oh you are so right there. It has taken me at least 20 years to come to this realization, and still there are days I am having a lot of problems with it, days on which I loathe my body. At this moment I am in a phase where I love my body and I sure hope it stays this way!
